We will block the amnesty bill
MP Nipit Intarasombat told the press that Thailand's 'Democrat' Party will join 12 other political groups in their efforts to stop the government from passing the amnesty bill.
The 'Democrats' will hold rallies to inform the public about what could happen should the law be passed, the MP said. We will mobilise at least 100'000 people, he added.

Blame the Democrats for every Problem
Yesterday the core leaders of the Yellow Shirts, also known as People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), announced their resignation from the movement.
In their statement the former allies of the Democrats said that the Democratic Party is only interested to return in power.
The Democrats should be held responsible for any future problems, the resigning leaders said.
They added that ousting this government would only result in a vicious cycle.
Thai People prefer Pheu Thai over the Democrats, the disillusioned leaders acknowledged.
Update (August 30th): The People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), insisted that the recent decision by the group's leaders to step down was not a retreat but a move to give the group a chance to be born again...
Do not swim in Ao Phrao
Thailand's Pollution Control Department (PCD) told the press yesterday that it is still not safe to swim in Ao Phrao.
Tests conducted by the department to monitor the level of contamination in seawater after oil washed up on the shores of Koh Samet last month showed that the water is still contaminated with arsenic, cadmium and mercury as well as traces of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH).
Thank you, Bradley.
The US Warlords are still terrorizing peace-loving citizens!
Judge Col Denise Lind announced in the military courtroom in Fort Meade, Maryland, that Pte Bradley Manning would be dishonourably discharged from the US Army and forfeit some of his pay.
The US soldier convicted of handing a trove of secret government documents to anti-secrecy website Wikileaks has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Shame on the US.
Bradley Manning did us all a very big favour.
Amnesty International and the Bradley Manning Support Network have announced an online petition asking President Barack Obama to pardon Pte Manning.
Thailand's prisons are overcrowded.
Thailand's Justice Minister Chaikasem Nitisiri said that there are about 270'000 inmates in prisons across the country.
According to the Corrections Department the figure is rising by 3'000 a month and will easily surpass 300'000 next year. Each warder has to oversee at least 50 inmates.
The Corrections Department runs 188 prisons in Bangkok and the provinces. They have a capacity to accommodate only 211'000 inmates.
Thailand's Juvenile Observation and Protection Department administers 78 youth detention centres. The number of the youths in the homes is unclear...
UK Interrogation Mafia forced David Miranda to give Passwords
The interrogators that held the Brazilian journalist for nine hours at London's Heathrow airport forced David Miranda to give all the passwords to his e-mail and social media accounts.
If you do not so, you could go to prison, the interrogation mafia threatened the journalist.
His confiscated electronics equipments are still in the hand of the British/US mafia organisations.
Thailand's
'Democratic' Rowdies
Senior members of Thailand's so called 'Democrat Party' announced to join the street rallies organized by Thailand's anti-government People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), also dubbed as People's Alliance against Democracy.
'Democrat' Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said the People's Army rally against Thaksin's regime is being held lawfully as they wanted to make social changes.
We will fight Thaksin's regime both in Parliament and on the streets, the two organisations announced on August 17th, 2013.
On August 20th Thailand's 'Democrat' Party showed what they understand as democratic procedure: They produced a chaos in Thailand's Parliament. The Parliament Police had to be called in. When they arrived the 'Democrat' MPs started pushing, shoving and tugging the Police.
Parliament President Somsak Kiatsuranont had to call a break. It lasted more than half an hour.
After the break the 'Democrats' said the House speaker might have violated the law...
Thailand's 'Democrat Party' nothing than a bunch of rowdies?
Thailand's 'Democrat Party' and the PAD enjoy the support of Bangkok's notorious Elite and a large part of Thailand's Army.
NSA, British Prime Minister David Cameron and his GCHQ are working under the same ceiling!
Prime Minister David Cameron, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Foreign Secretary William Hague ordered Britain's top civil servant Sir Jeremy Heywood to contact the Guardian.
The Guardian Editor Alan Rusbridger said the newspaper was later forced to destroy the computer hard drives storing the information about secret US and British surveillance programmes.
We were quite clear we were not going to hand this material back to the British government so we destroyed it ourselves under advice from a couple of GCHQ intelligence experts, who told us which bits of the hard drive to smash up, in what way, Mr. Rusbridger said.
Can not operate under current US surveillance policies
Groklaw, an important award-winning legal news website, has stopped work.
Pamela Jones, Groklaw's founder, cited the alleged US practice of screening emails from abroad and storing messages for five years as the reason for the closure of her website.
Ms Jones said that the anonymity of Groklaw's contributors could be at risk, since emails were screened by the US government.
Family Affair
Pattaya City Hall invited a group of officials from Saen Suk, a seaside tourist destination near Bang Saen in Chonburi and the home of Somchai Khunploem, the criminal father of Pattaya's Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome.
The invitation was arranged to cement good relations between Pattaya and Saen Suk and to show them the (only partly working) security system in this city.
Somchai Khunploem, the former Mayor of Saen Suk municipality, was arrested by Thailand's Crime Suppression Division (CSD) on January 30th, 2013.
Thailand in Recession
Southeast Asia's second-largest economy entered a recession for the first time since 2009.
Thai economic growth may slow further in the third quarter as domestic consumption and exports are very weak, a result of fading business confidence, high household debt, and rising prices.

US helicopters threatens Okinawa
The US Army is threatening Okinawa's citizens with the resumption of flight training of its helicopters.
An US Air Force HH-60 rescue helicopter went down on August 5th, killing a crewmember.
Okinawa Vice Governor Kurayoshi Takara said the resumption is regrettable as the cause of accident has not been determined.
Okinawa will continue demanding a cancellation of flights of the helicopters, but US officers say 6 of the 9 helicopters have been inspected.
No abnormalities or problems have been found, the Army claims.
Nevertheless, Okinawa's citizens still believe the helicopters of the US Army are unsafe.

The Land of Smiles
Voranai Vanijaka, a columnist for Bangkok Post published an interesting view about Thailand's politicians and Thailand's education system.
He calls Thailand a Land of stupidity and he concludes that the disease is born in the classrooms.
He missed the point.
As mentioned somewhere in his commentary, the disease is hidden somewhere in the genes.
The proof:
Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, the 27th Prime Minister of Thailand from 2008 to 2011, was born in Newcastle upon Tyne (England), attended Eton College and earned bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Oxford.
It didn't help anything.
Abhisit Vejjajiva has the very same disease as most of his compatriots.

Is Pattaya clean?
On July 31st, 2013, Chonburi's Immigration Office, Pattaya's Tourist Police, Pattaya's Business and Tourism Association as well as representatives from the National Intelligence Agency and Internal Security Operational Command and Officials from from Police Stations in Banglamung, Chonburi, Nongprue and Pattaya told the press that the media are hurting Pattaya's image.
Pattaya is free of any mafia organisation they told the press.
The loveely group even asserted that Pattaya doesn't have illegal taxis threatening and gouging tourists and that Jet Ski and Speedboat problems are solved.
Pattaya's Police Officers care and enforce the law, the group told the press.
According to the group Pattaya's problems are the media. They are sensationalizing crimes and distorting facts with the sole intention to sell their newspapers.
The group told such a shit, we don't have to comment it.
If you want to know the reality you have to spend one single day only at Pattaya's Beach...
Update August 10th:
Thailand's Department of Special Investigation (DSI) announced that it will open a Centre for Preventing and Suppressing Organised Crimes Targeting Tourists, because Pattaya face similar problems as Phuket. It seems the press conference mentioned above should defend the benefice of Pattaya's 'Yakuza'...
Democrat's tricks failed to stall amnesty debate
The opposition deployed a wide range of tricks and technicalities yesterday to stall a House debate on the amnesty bill.
Democrat MP Nipit Intarasombat announced that if Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra voted for the bill he would file a case against her with the Constitution.
But Nipit and his boss Abhisit Vejjajiva had a very disappointing day: Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra left the parliament on Wednesday before the session began.
Ms Yingluck went back to Government House for a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Kuan Mu and then chaired a meeting of the Women Empowerment Fund.

'Democrat' Party
joins protesters
'Democrat' leaders including Abhisit Vejjajiva, Chuan Leekpai and Suthep Thuagsuban joined about 2'500 protesters from Bangkok's Urupong Intersection to the Parliament to protest against the amnesty bill.
But a police barrier stopped their march.
Some protesters hurled abuse and threw water bottles at Pol Lt Gen Khamronwit Thoopkrachang, the metropolitan police chief.
Supporters of the so-called People's Army, also known as People's Force for Democracy to overthrow Thaksinism (Pefot), remained at Lumpini Park.
Pefot core member Taikorn Polsuwan, during 2006 a coordinator of the government's intelligence network for North-Eastern Thailand, said they had only 300 people at lunchtime but are waiting for more supporters from the provinces to join them.
People were paid 300 to 500 Baht per head to join the anti-government rally in Bangkok for a day. They would be given 2'500 Baht each if they joined the protest for three to five days
It seems that Thailand's people don't like to support Bangkok's notorious troublemakers anymore.
The 'Democratic' Party and its troublemakers known as Yellow Shirts, People's Alliance for Democracy, the multi-coloured-shirts movement, Thai Spring, the Green Politics Group, Pitak Siam, People's Army and Pefot (People's Force for Democracy to overthrow Thaksinism) are supported by Bangkok's Elite and at least a part of Thailand's Army.
Thai Army denies rumours about a coup d'etat.
Col Vinthai Suvaree, an army deputy spokesman, just told the public to wisely consume news.
Thailand's Army has no plan to stage a coup d'etat, he said.
Please don't be concerned with the relocation of military equipment as this is part of normal training, he told the press.
Perhaps you remember the words. You could hear exactly the same statement just before Thailand's Army started its latest coup on September 19th 2006. Let's hope the army spokesman told the true -at least this time...
Bangkok's Elite restarts its war against Thaksin
Today Bangkok's Elite restarted its war against Thailand's former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
A so-called People's Army against Thaksin Regime started the rally at Bangkok's Lumpini Park. Many Democrat Party supporters could be spotted in the crowd. The People's Arm accused the Yingluck Shinawatra administration of trying to whitewash the crimes of Thailand's former Prime Minister.
It seems Bangkok's Elite is fearing a return of Thailand's still fugitive Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
It is assumed that Thaksin already knows the name of Bangkok's High Society members making their living from dirty businesses.

Police News
Pattaya repeats: No Mafia in this City
Police General Wutti, a Senior Adviser to the National Police Commissioner, told the press at Pattaya's Police Station that the City is free of any Mafia Organisation.
He just repeated the words of Police Colonel Chaiyor and Khun Sukchai bublished below.
However, not everybody shares his view: On August 10th Thailand's Department of Special Investigation (DSI) announced that it will open a Centre for Preventing and Suppressing Organised Crimes Targeting Tourists, because Pattaya face similar problems as Phuket.
It seems that Pattaya's Authorities are already fearing the arrival of the DSI, Thailand's FBI.
Four Police Officer suspended
Four Bangkok-based Policemen had to be suspended from their duties. They allegedly try to extort 2 million Baht from two Italian tourists after making a false allegation against the victims.
Arrest warrants have been issued for two of the officers, who are still on the run.

On August 14th Pol Lt Col Burin Lalitathada, an inspector with responsibility for administration at Bang Yi Rua police station, fired bullets from an M16 rifle at a room used by investigators at Khlong Tan police station in Bangkok's Suan Luang district.
The reason for his shooting is not known. The Officer is at large in a Honda SUV.
Pol Maj-Gen Suebsak Phansura, chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau's Division 5, said the inspector was a good person, although sometimes bad tempered.

The suspects includes eight officers of the rank of senior sergeant major, a sergeant major, a sub-lieutenant and a captain. They all belong to Metropolitan Police 5th Division.
Gambling as well as betting is completely illegal in Thailand.
Tourist Police's Showcase
Police Lieutenant Colonel Arun, the Inspector-in-Charge of the Pattaya Tourist Police, presented the result of a nightly sweep of his busy police to the press.
In an attempt to clean Pattaya's street from 'unwanted' individuals who either cause inconvenience or may commit a crime against tourists, Pattaya's Tourist Police arrested 46 suspects and transferred the 10 street beggars, 14 flower sellers and 22 Ladyboys to Pattaya's Police Station on Soi 9 for processing.
It's an absolutely worthless activity as this latest report shows. Our Police on Soi 9 ask some money from the arrested people and put them back to the streets to do their 'jobs' as before.
With their useless activity our (Tourist) Police not even improve Pattaya's reputation in the world, they are just generating a laughing fit.
No Mafia from Russia
Police Colonel Chaiyor, the Superintendent of Chonburi Immigration and Khun Sukchai, the Chief of Banglamung District believe that Russian Mafia activities are not present in Pattaya. Crimes involving Russian Nationals are minor and do not pose a threat to Pattaya in any way, they claim.
But perhaps you know it better...
Police bribed
Nong Ki district chief Yongyuth Jornsamorn got complains from several people that there were illegal lottery activities out in the open at Buriram's Nong Ki local market.
Therefore he informed the chief of Nong Ki police station and requested assistance.
But the police did not take any action.
The district chief decided to lead a team of residents to arrest the suspects.
When they arrested the two women they learned from a seized account book that the women had been paying police 3'500 Baht twice a month...
Police arrest Police

Fun in Pattaya
Fully booked
On August 15th, 2013, Auttaphol Wannakij, the director of Pattaya's Tourism Authority of Thailand branch (TAT), told the press that Pattaya is continuing to attract tourists.
The lovely man can even see growing numbers of tourist during the low season.
According to his statistics the average occupancy rate of hotel rooms in Pattaya in this month is 70-90%, compared with only 40-50% several years go.
He also revealed that Russians continue to be the largest group of visitors to Pattaya, followed by visitors from China, Germany and South Korea.
Auttaphol Wannakij claimed that Pattaya had about 8.3 million visitors last year. The number of tourists visiting Pattaya is expected to grow by 10% in 2013, he announced.

I presented the numbers to a few owners of businesses here in Pattaya. They all had a laughing fit. People working mostly with tourist from Russia agreed that the city attracts a lot of visitors from Russia, but not during the last few months. At the moment there are very few tourist from Russia in town, they said. Moreover, the one that are here are even more frugal than during the high season. Walking Street's most popular meeting point at the Food Fair Restaurant even closed down completely for renovation (see picture above).
I can't imagine where TAT got the numbers from. If I had a room occupancy rate of 70% I don't had to made promotion rates to rent out my rooms, an owner of a hotel in Pattaya City told me. Look around, restaurants, bars, shops and even shopping malls are mostly empty - and from tourists from China and South Korea only a few business can profit, he told me.
Can TAT please tell me where the Germans are, a bar owner said. Have a look at Pattaya's German district in Naklua, most bars and restaurants are waiting for guests, some businesses even had to close.
Dre's Bar
Nevertheless, there are some exceptions. Dre's Bar (pictured above). located on Soi Buakhaow, usually has more guests than ladies.
Pattaya's Hotels have a difficult time and therefore are short of paying taxes...
Wittaya Kunplome, the President of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization and a brother of Pattaya's Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome, told the Thai Hotels Association Eastern Region, that he got a letter from Thailand's Office of the Auditor General. The OAG is accusing Pattaya's as well as Chonburi's hotels of dodging taxes.
Thailand's Office of the Auditor General told Chonburi authorities to crack down on Pattaya hotels. Pattaya's hotels are paying substantially less than areas like Phuket, Bangkok or Koh Samui, the OAG says.
Thai Hotels Association Eastern Region (THA) President Bundarik Kusolvitya rejected the claim that association members were cheating on taxes. The revenue shortfall resulted from on a plunge in room bookings during March 2013, he said. Moreover, booking rates in Phuket and Koh Samui are higher. Therefore the tax amounts collected in those areas will be higher too. On the other side, there are non-THA-member hotels in this city that pay no taxes at all, THA President Bundarik Kusolvitya claimed.
In full contrast to the information from Pattaya's Tourism Authority of Thailand branch (published above), Wittaya Kunplome said that he understand that our hotels are having a difficult time with their businesses...
Don't blame Low Season for all that closures
Empty Shops
Travelling around Pattaya gives you the impression of a dying City. Hundreds of shops, shophouses and businesses are closed and on the block. The liquidation reached an alltime high this year.
Even at prime locations like Pattaya's Beach Road, Walking Street or 2nd Road dozens of business premises remain empty. At some popular shopping centers banners like 'Coming Soon' are gracing walls and windows since many months.
A lot of hotels are advertising 'Low Season Rooms' at bargain prices between 450 and 650 Baht a night.
Nevertheless, you can spot a lot of tourists in Pattaya.
'Closed Circuit Tourists' from China, India and Pakistan. Tourists that stay here for a few days only, but are stressing Pattaya's infrastructure to its limits.
With a few exceptions they are supporting a few insider businesses only.
The majority of Pattaya's business owners have to look into the sky, have to close down or are simply waiting for better times...
Don't blame the low season for this development. Blame Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome and the TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand) for this deadly development. They introduced Pattaya's new orientation.

Itthiphol Kunplome's stupid ideas
2011 Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome proposed four subterranean tunnels running under Sukhumvit Road intersections with North, Central, South and Thepprasit roads. And, as ususal with Itthiphol's ideas, the planning had already begun on all four bypasses.
On July 1st, 2013, during a hearing on a 15 billion Baht sustainable-tourism master plan for the Pattaya region former secretary-general of Thailand's National Economic and Social Development Board Suwat Waneesubut called Itthiphol Kunplome's tunnel-bypass proposal inappropriate given general population trends. The project is a waste of investment and destructive to Pattaya's environment, he said.
National politicians have shown little enthusiasm to fund Itthiphol Kunplome's master plan for Pattaya.
In 2012, Thailand's government gave Pattaya only 135 million Baht of the 15 billion Baht plan, for 2013, the government allocated only 299 million Baht.
Itthiphol Kunplome's focus on financial development has led to decreased emphasis on the environment and society, environmental consultant Somnuk Jongmewsin said at the meeting. Pattaya's pollution is the most-obvious symptom of that procedure, he added.
Nevertheless, Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome strove to defend his projects for a 'better' Pattaya.
Pattaya City has employed King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Integrated Engineering Consultants Company, Boonpunya Technology Company and Feasibility Research Division of the Integrated Engineering Consultant Company to find solutions for Sukhumvit Road's traffic problems.
Itthiphol Kunplome's stupid ideas
During January 2011 Bangkok's Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (Dasta) already told Itthiphol Khunpluem, the Mayor of Pattaya, Pattaya's repositioning as a tourist destination has to go ahead without Itthiphol Kunplome's dream toy, his Monorail.
Nevertheless, City Hall is still spending money on feasibility studies...
According to a Corruption Specialist from Scandinavia, all of Itthiphol Khunpluem's projects have one thing in common: The general public can't benefit from the 'innovations'.

Banana Trees in the middle of Thailand's High Tech Streets?
Thailand's Government and its agencies like to promote Thailand as one of Asia's High Tech places.
But if you take a closer look you will remark that almost all High Tech approaches failed in this funny country. Thais simply don't understand the meaning of the term maintenance.
If you leave the big cities and go upcountry you will discover that a great part of Thailand's citizens have to life in an other century, without proper streets and with improvised electrical installations.
No wonder that about 20 angry residents from Ban Nong Pluang Manao planted a banana tree in the middle of a pot-holed dirt road leading to their village.
The local authorities had ignored their repeated requests for a better road and electricity for more than ten years.
Because of the slippery road conditions pupils travelling to school often fell in the mud and have to go back home to change their clothes.
As you can imagine, the street gets real dangerous during the night.
Because of missing electricity, the street is not iluminated...

How to steal more than 48 million Baht from Thai Government
A large number of high level officials in Bung Kan province and all its districts reported a disease outbreak among rubber trees between September 21st and September 30th, 2012. To seek emergency funds to buy insecticide to help planters the officials declared the areas as disaster impacted zones.
The investigation of the DSI (Department of Special Investigation), Thailand's FBI, showed that the report was groundless as the Nong Khai Rubber Research Centre, which is responsible for the research and development of rubber plants in 20 provinces in the Northeast, including Bung Kan, did not receive any report about a disease outbreak.
The DSI also uncovered evidence of irregularities as the procurement did not follow regulations set by the Finance Ministry.
The purchasing committee had set a median price for the insecticide benomyl at four times higher than the market price.
Moreover, an analysis of the 'insecticide' distributed to planters showed that the product did not contain benomyl at all. The farmers got a fake...

And the killer was: The Thai Army
Thailand's Criminal Court ruled that the six individuals who were killed at Wat Pathum Wanaram during the 2010 political violence were killed by bullets fired by the state authorities.
About 90 people were killed over several weeks in 2010 when the demonstrators occupied downtown Bangkok for nine weeks before they dispersed due to deadly army crackdown.
Thailand's Army always denied any killing of pro Thaksin protesters.
The finding has put the Democrat Party's Abhisit Vejjajiva and Suthep Thaugsuban, who were then prime minister and deputy prime minister in a difficult position.

myLady™ told me that at a certain shopping center she could spot the very same jeans for 149, 159, 199 and 299 Baht during the last few weeks.
The price tags changed almost daily. 'Late' Carrefour sold the jeans for 99 Baht!
At an other location we discovered nice shirts marked with a listprice of 1'250 Baht and a large sign announcing a 50% discount. At some other shops you can buy the shirts for about 380 Baht - all year round...

August 19th 2013:
On August 18th, 2013, the British Metropolitan Police detained David Miranda at London's Heathrow Airport for nine hours on his way to Rio de Janeiro. He was held under UK's Terrorism Act 2000.
The British authorities sized his mobile phone, laptop, DVDs among other items.
28-year old Brazilian is the partner of Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald who published documents leaked by Edward Snowden.
The British authorities spent the entire day asking about the reporting I was doing and other Guardian journalists were doing on the NSA stories. They never asked one single question about terrorism or anything relating to a terrorist organisation, he told BBC World Service's Newsday programme after he was released.
The incident just shows the close ties between the NSA and the British authorities.
It's exactly the way international Mafia organisations are working.
Scotland Yard said in a statement that the examination of Mr Miranda was subject to a detailed decision-making process. Our assessment is that the use of the power in this case was legally and procedurally sound, the British part of the NSA told the press.

Is the severe US terror alert a simple trick to divert from the discussion about US National Security Agency (NSA)?
The public debate in the US, including in Congress, as well as in Europe has included the suspicion that the Obama administration is using the terror warning to distract from the NSA's controversial surveillance activities.
The warning represent a purely political maneuver.
The US, the world's most aggressive spying organisation, says it is deeply concerned about Vietnam's new internet decree that would restrict online users from discussing current affairs.

Apple will launch its next-generation iPhone and iPad products on September 10, 2013.
It will unveil its new entry-level iPhone, featuring a plastic chassis.
The company will cut its iPhone 5 and iPad mini prices.
70%
The most popular tablet size in the market is currently 7-inch, which accounts for about 70% of total shipments.
Giant Tablets
Rumors tell that Apple and Samsung are developping 12-inch tablets to create a new market segment.
In the second quarter of 2013 global tablet shipments dropped 9.7%.
Apple's iPad shipments dropped a daunting 25%!
It seems customers already learned that a tablet is a gadget only, just ready to play a game or to read an incoming e-mail.
To answer the mail you still have to move your body to your computer.

The US Mafia did it again!
In June 2013, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled that Apple infringed a patent of rival Samsung.
The ITC ordered a halt on all imports and sales on AT&T-sold models of the iPhone 4, iPhone 3, iPhone 3GS as well as the iPad 3G and iPad 2 3G.
Apple had a chance to buy a license of the patent, but Apple says the terms are unreasonable and has refused to pay.
On August 4th President Barack Obama's trade representative has vetoed the rule of the ITC because of its effect on competitive conditions in the US economy. That's US law.
But you have to keep in mind that Apple spent US$1.9mil lobbying US government in 2012 and Samsung spent zero.
We call it Mafia, but you?
Phone with HP!
According to our friends in Taiwan, Hewlett-Packard (HP) is developing smartphones which will be launched in the second half of 2013.
It's the second time HP tries to enter into the handset industry.
HP's first attempt, with the purchase of Palm, failed piteously.
Wait!
If you need a really powerful Tablet wait a few months: MediaTek, Taiwan's leading communication chip designer, just presented the world's most powerful quad-core SoC.
The MT8135 comes with heterogeneous multi-processing and an advanced power efficiency architecture.
The new chip is even more powerful than Samsung's latest Exynos Octa SoC.
The first Tablets based on the new chip will reach the shelves during the first quarter of 2014.
Same Same
but very different!
Not all Samsung Galaxy S4 Smartphones run with the same electronics.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Smartphones versions sold in the US and in UK are designed around a chip manufactured by Qualcomm.
In most other countries Samsung sells the Galaxy S4 with an electronic built around its very own Exynos Octa SoC.
Women prefer Tablets
A recent study shows that women prefer smaller tablets (or larger smartphones) than men to surf on the internet.
