We, the Tourists,
are responsible for Pattaya's Copycat Products!
A meeting featuring Pattaya Police and vendors of fake products from Pattaya's Tukcom ITcenter concluded that the strong demand from foreign tourists is responsible for the continued trading of copycat products in Pattaya.
On December 13th, 2012, the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has declared Pattaya's ITcenter as "red zone" for selling fake brand products.
Airbus 320 for Thailand's Military
Thailand's Cabinet had to approve 3.4 Billion Baht for the acquisition of an Airbus ACJ320 requested by the Defence Ministry's Royal Thai Air Force.
According to the Royal Thai Air Force the aircraft would be reserved for VIP guests.
The ACJ320 features the most spacious cabin in the corporate jet market.
The Royal Thai Air Force will maintain the aircraft and provide the crews.
Let's hope the new Airbus will get a better maintenance than the Military's helicopters: Fewer than half of them are ready to fly.
Take the Bus!
Thailand's Transport Minister Chadchat Suttipunt has instructed his Senior Officials to leave their cars at home at least once a week and take a bus to work.
This is the best way officials at the ministry can learn first hand the problems of commuters using buses operated by the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA).
It is not known if the Minister fellows his order too...
PS.: On June 27th Transport Minister Chadchat Suttipunt tried to get a bus from Thailand's Education Ministry to Don Mueang Airport. After waiting for more than 30 minutes he called his driver to pick him up. He didn't want to not miss his flight.

Living in Pattaya needs a lot of tenacity
Work must be fun in Thailand, otherwise you don't will find anybody to do the job.
We are documenting it on our Thailand's Workforce page.
Feel free to read the 'funny' report published by Spike on his Pattaya Days site.
It shows the lazy side of Pattaya's highly skilled, motivated and absolutely professional workers.
Flandria goes Go-Go
Construction workers are transforming the former Flandria Bar and Guesthouse on Soi LK Metro into a new A Go-Go Club.
A newly installed staircorkscrew suggests that the venue will work on more than one floor.
PS: As mentioned in our middle row, the former Flandria Restaurant reopened on Soi Buakhaow.
A Carousel converts into a Dream
A Carousel gets a Dream
Carousel A Go-Go, located on Soi Diamond, gets converted into a Dream Club A Go-Go.
Let's hope this Dream comes true.
Carousel A Go-Go closed during May 2012. Covent Garden Complex on Soi 16 already had an Dream A Go-Go until October 31st 2011. A Dream Beer Bar with Coyote dancers closed on March 1st 2013 on Soi 8.
Foreign capital is leaving Thailand en masse.
Yesterday the Thai currency fell 1.2 per cent to 31.08 per US dollar. Today the Baht opened at 31.20, the lowest since September 2012.
The reason: Foreign capital is leaving Thailand en masse. Some investors believe that the Thai army is preparing a new coup. 'At the moment we face the very same scenario of defamation as in 2006. The political situation is very fragile', an observer told us.
Byblos on the Block
Byblos on the Block
Byblos, the well-known A Go-Go and Coyote Club located on Soi Diamond, off Soi Phratamnak and about 50 meters only from Pattaya's Walking Street, is on the block.
Price: 5'000'000 Baht,
NO key money!
We are the Masters of Copycat!
What you do if you don't know how to use your brain?
Right: You start copying good ideas or slogans.
That's just what our City Hall is doing: Pattaya's City Hall has suggested that Pattaya will become the Thai Riviera.
A Riviera without beaches, without sidewalks but with a racing circuit in front of a dirty sea.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand goes one step further and is now investigating how to turn Thailand into the next Maldives.
We suggest that Pattaya must put its own house in order first and refrain from copying others.
Pattaya's Property Developers already jumped the bandwagon: They are moving the Caribbean, the Maldives, Venezia, Rom's Collosseum as well as Atlantis to Pattaya and Jomtien.
Phuket the world's most dangerous place
According to Jonathan Kenna, deputy head of mission at the Australian embassy in Thailand, Phuket is the most dangerous place in the world for Australians.
The 100 Australians who died in Thailand last year accounted for one in eight of the 791 deaths on foreign soil, figures from the Department of Foreign Affairs show.
Thailand's Navy says NO! to U-Tapao International Airport!
The Royal Thai Navy opposes the government's plan to boost the commercial passenger capacity at U-Tapao Airport.
On June 26th, 2012, Thailand's cabinet issued a resolution to develop the U-Tapao airport to increase its commercial capacity.
The Navy claims that U-Tapao is its only airport.
A full-scale commercial development of it would compromise national security...
Nevertheless, Thailand's Navy runs its very own U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya International Airport Website.
The site even announces a 50% discount on landing and parking fees for all international flights from May 15th, 2013, through September 15th, 2013, at U-Tapao Airport.
It seems that at Thailand's Navy headquarters the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing!
Just another proof that Thailand's Army is everything but a reliable party.
Thai Food: Not safe!
Thailand's Foundation for Consumers revealed today that at least one-third of food available in the market is not safe.
The food often has excessive additives and chemicals, well above the standard limit.
Furthermore two-thirds of frozen foods have labels that do not matched the ingredients.
As an example: Frozen grilled pork was labeled as chicken!
The findings are in line with publications from Europe: Vegetables from Thailand contains dangerous levels of pesticides.
The sharp increase in pesticide use by Thai farmers has alarmed International markets.
There are concerns here in Thailand that the European Union might ban Thai vegetable.
But where all that pesticide is coming from? Mainly from Producers in industrialized countries like Europe...

Phuket faces same problems as Pattaya
Diplomats from 18 European countries has called for better protection for tourists visiting Phuket.
The diplomats from the European Union complained about the high price of public transport on the island, missing flags to warn tourists against swimming and taking boat trips during the monsoon season.
David Lipman, the EU ambassador to Thailand, said personal safety issues and jet ski scams are all high on the list of problems facing European visitors.
Thai economy is stable, but...
The Bank of Thailand says that Thai economy is stable.
Nevertheless, Thailand's high household debts, which escalated sharply in the past few years, pose a risk to financial stability and require close monitoring, the BOT says.
In fact, Thailand's citizens like to live beyond their means, which could affect the country's financial stability - or already does.
New Problems with Dreamliners
On June 12th Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA) had to cancel another Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight.
The plane's right engine failed to work.
140 passengers had to take other flights.
Will they ever learn?
On June 11th Officers from the Police Region 2 Child and Women Protection Unit had to arrest a Thai Bar owner for employing girls under the age of 18 at his Karaoke Bar in Jomtien. Two underaged girls were available for sexual services.
On June 9th the same Officers already raided an A Go-Go Bar on Soi Praisani (Soi Post Office) for the same reason. The Police arrested the Boss of the Hot & Cold Bar and removed a 15-year old and a 16-year old girl from the venue.
Missing English skills
A recent survey shows that Thailand's workers have the lowest English skills in South East Asia.
The results are from 1'540'785 assessment takers in the Southeast Asia countries of Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
As expected, Singapore workers have the highest average score.
Chonburi's Senator Surachai Chaitrakulthong is luring potential investors from Taiwan and other countries by promising 'Thailand's plus is the availability of a skilled workforce'.

Don't buy a Motorcycle without Kickstarter!
Never buy a Motorcycle without Kickstarter!
Before you buy a new motorcycle in Thailand check if it is equipped with a kickstarter.
In a country where batteries have a very short life, streets get flooded and repair departments don't know how to fix an electrical problem, a kickstarter is still the best insurance to keep your motorcycle running.

Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome asked his Pattaya City Council on May 29th to spend 11.4 million Baht to cordon off two more swimming areas on Naklua and Wong Amat beaches...
The additional swimming zones were deemed urgent following the April 21st speedboat collision, he said.
We think it would be a lot cheaper and would improve the security a lot more if City Hall would interdict the use of Jet Skis and Speed Boats.
The move could improve the image of this city worldwide.
Where is Pattaya's Free WiFi?
Since many years Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome promises and announces Free WiFi in Pattaya.
First, during December 2008, he did it together with TOT (Telephone Organisation of Thailand).
Later he cooperated with CP's Truemove and told the press on August 28th 2012 that Pattaya City Hall has signed an agreement with True Corporation (Public) Ltd. over the installation of 1'000 Wi-Fi Internet hot spots, with 2 Mbps of broadband, all around Pattaya in the near future.
According to Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome Pattaya City is a World Class Tourist Attraction where high speed internet and free Wi-Fi are a necessity.
It seems the term near future in the mouth of our lovely Mayor has the meaning of a few light years.
PS: Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome has sold Pattaya's free WiFi Hotspots as an attainment of Pattaya's City Hall.
That's very far from the true.
Thailand's Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) created the idea.
Every Phone Company providing WiFi installation in the country is obliged to provide free WiFi access, the ICT insists.
Your phone, tablet or computer recognise the free hotspots as ICT Free WiFi by TRUE (or TOT, AIS etc.).
Obviously you can't trust one single word Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome tells during his press meetings.
Flood preventing
Flood preventing
Pattaya's highly skilled Professionals designed a flood preventing canal on Pattaya's new Sai Nueng, the City's Beach Road.
The canal is just 34 centimeter wide and 27 centimeter deep...
It's exactly the same 'technology' that is/was used on the 2-lane Beach Road. It already proved not to be effective...
Chonburi's Senator Surachai Chaitrakulthong is luring potential investors from Taiwan and other countries by promising 'Thailand's plus is the availability of a skilled workforce'.

A never ending story
A group of Pattaya's unscrupulous Jet Ski Operators forced two Indian Medical Students to pay about 45'000 Baht in cash for minor damage(s) on Jet Ski's they had rented. Please click here to read the full story.
Pattaya Police allegedly inspected the Jet Skis and determined that the damage was new and the cost of repair was realistic and no scam had taken place!
Bangkok Post calls the incident a beach mafia scam in the tourist centre.
Since many years Pattaya's City Hall promises to regulate the infamous Jet Ski business.
Despite a lot of meetings at City Hall, nothing ever happened. During almost every meeting Pattaya's officials contrive a new reason to adjourn a decision...
A total of 168 Jet Ski operators are working in Pattaya and Jomtien with 452 Jet Skis.
Rumors say that some of this businesses are run by Pattaya's notourious and corrupt officials, their families and/or relatives.
MasterCard claims:
Bangkok is the World's #1 Tourist Destination
According to MasterCard's Global Destination Cities Index Bangkok is now the most visited city in the world by international tourists.
It was a poky victory:
Bangkok beat London, last year's No. 1 tourist destination, by less than 1%.
Bangkok's Siam Paragon shopping mall is the world's second-most photographed location on Instagram, trailing only Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport, MasterCard reports.
Never trust statistics - unless you tricked it yourself...
Chinese Tourists spend $167/day
According to the Thai-Chinese Tourism Alliance the average Chinese tourist spends US$167/day in Thailand, but stays one week only in this #1 country.
End of a Dream?
ANA, Japan's All Nippon Airways, is considering Airbus's A350 as a replacement for its Boeing 777 fleet, and not Boeing's troubled Dreamliner.
Nevertheless, everything is open, nothing is decided, a diplomatic CEO Osamu Shinobe told the press.

Pattaya's Tourist Compensation Fund runs out of money!
After the recent speedboat accident, it injured 18 foreign tourists and 2 guides, some politicians say that the fund will facing bankruptcy.
To solve the problem they recommend that the fund should be transformed into an association that can solicit donations.
Currently, tourists with non-disabling injuries can receive a maximum 20'000 Baht each.
Those disabled by injuries can get up to 50'000 Baht.
The fund will pay families of tourists killed in Pattaya 100'000 Baht.
Let's hope you have a good insurance if you decide to spend your holidays in Pattaya.

Rumours far away from Reality!
Club Blu
On May 1st, 2013, we published rumours circulating about the currently closed Club Blu on Soi Buakhaow.
We just got a message that this rumours are far from any reality.
Fact is that the former Club Blu will re-open as Funhouse. The new venue doesn't have any connection with the management running the Pook clubs on Soi Buakhaow and Soi 6.
We hope the new Funhouse will be a real House of Fun.
June 28th 2013:
As you know, a Crystal Club will replace the former Lolitas Blow Job Bar on Soi LK Metro. We got informed that the new club doesn't have any connection with the LK Group running the Crystal Place Hotel on Soi Kophai.
June 18th 2013:
The lower house of Switzerland's parliament has refused to debate a bill that would allow Swiss banks to pass client information to the US tax authorities.
The bill was the result of pressure from the US following revelations that Swiss banks had helped American account holders to evade taxes.
The US had demanded action by July 1st, but the Swiss parliament summer session ends this week.
The stupid people sit in the USA. They made the laws that pushed the money out of the country.
Well-known US companies like Google, Apple, Intel and Microsoft are using legal holes in European laws for not paying taxes in European countries where they make the money. The laws were introduced by European's highly intelligent politicians, the very same individuals that are now accusing the companies... (Chaiyo Thai expression for Bravo)
Pattaya City Hall never will learn
June 12th 2013:
On June 12th heavy rain set a great part of Pattaya under Water: On Sukhumvit Road, 3rd Road, Soi Buakhaow, 2nd Road, Central Road and the old as well as the new part of Pattaya's Beach Road were flooded.
An angry Tourist told me: I come here since almost 25 years and every year Pattaya faces the same problem during rainfalls. It's the last time I spend my holidays in this city. The idiots from City Hall waste their money for an automatic parking house on Bali Hai, a new Beach Promenade, an enlarged Beach Road and a bunch of flying Dolphins instead of improving Pattaya's infrastructure.
It seems City Hall's Officials can fill up their pockets with new but unnecessary projects only, the man said.

Butterfly
Spike from Pattaya Day is publishing spectacular pictures of butterflies he captured at Kaeng Krachan National Park, located in the border area with Burma, near the tourist town of Hua Hin.
The park covers parts of the districts Nong Ya Plong, Kaeng Krachan and Tha Yang of Phetchaburi Province, and of Hua Hin of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
The park is not only known for its beautiful butterflies, but also for his good range of birds, langurs, gibbons, tigers, tapirs and elephants. The entry fee for Thai citizens is 30 Baht/person, foreigners have to pay 200 Baht/person

Pattaya's Colosseum
Pattaya's Colosseum will open soon on Thepprasit Road, about half way between Sukhumvit Road and Jomtien Beach. The new Showcase is announced to provide spectacular cabaret acts and exciting international concerts. It will be Asia's largest transvestite cabaret show, with up to four 75-minute performances daily. The management told us they are addressing Thai tourists first but we expect it will target Pattaya's visitors from China mostly. It provides a large parking area for about 450 cars in front of the impressive copy of Rome's original. As usual for Pattaya, the whole building is decorated with Pattaya's famous Cable Salad.
We were told that the first (test?) shows will start on June 29th 2013, but the date can change without prior announcement. An official opening will be celebrated during July 2013.
We are still afraid our Police will confiscate the whole building as part of their continual crackdown on counterfeit goods and designs...
Pattaya City Hospital on Soi Buakhaow
Pattaya's new City Hospital on Soi Buakhaow is still without life - you not even can die there.

Pattaya's new Parking Street
Pattaya's road users decided to use the new 3rd line of Pattaya's 'enhanced' Beach Road as an additional parking lot. Cars and motorcycle are now parked on the left as well as on the right side of Pattaya's Sai Nueng (official name of the Road).
Pattaya's Sand
Almost every Beach Resort in this world faces the same problem. The beaches are naturally very dynamic. They erode through storms, seasons, waves and shortsighted decisions of the respective governments.
Pattaya is no exception from the rule.
Prof Thanawat Jarupongsakul from Chulalongkorn University's Aquatic Resources Research Institute has released a paper which shows that the erosion at Pattaya's beaches is very critical. He found that the beach width had dropped sharply to just four to five metres during the last few years. Without serious action, Pattaya Beach will disappear within five years, the Professor announced.
Pattaya's Sand
During low tides almost everybody can see where the sand goes. Even myLady™ asked me: Why these intelligent people in this country try collect the sand somewhere else and don't take it back from the sea?
She's right: Beach Resorts all over the world are using Sand Shuffling Ships to collect the sand deported by the waves and bring it back to the beaches.
Companies in Belgium and in Holland are specialised in the recreation of beaches. They have a lot more experiences that any university in this country.
Nevertheless, Pattaya tries to solve the problem its very own (and stupid) way.
myLady™ even know the reason: These Farangs know to solve almost every problem. But they do not know or understand the way how Thailand's Officials are filling up their pockets with millions of taxpayers' money.
Fidelity
A Marine was deployed to Afghanistan. While he was there he received a letter from his girlfriend. The letter told him that she had slept with two guys while he had been gone and she wanted to break up with him. Furthermore, she asked him to send back the pictures he took from her.
So the Marine did what any squared-away Marine would do. He went around to his buddies and collected all the unwanted photos of women he could find. He then mailed about 25 pictures of women (with clothes and without) to his girlfriend with the following note:
Sorry, but I don't remember which lady you are. Please remove your picture(s) and return the remaining ones.
Stories like this happen here in Pattaya on a daily basis. Never believe YOU or your girlfriend are the highly praised exceptions.
DNA
We all learned during the last decade or so, that the DNA containes all the information about your life, the diseases you will face, your life expectancy, and a lot more.
Wrong! A report published in the United States by the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, alongside with the Orleans Parish team shows that the ZIP code predicts a difference in life expectancy by as much as 25 years!
Differences in neighborhood conditions powerfully predict who is healthy, who is sick, and who lives longer. And because of patterns of residential segregation, these differences are the fundamental causes of health inequities among different racial, ethnic and socioeconomic groups, the report says.
Early Death Atlas
The Early Death Atlas officially released on June 11th, 2013, by Public Health England (PHE) and presented by health secretary Jeremy Hunt supports the findings published above.
The Health Map shows that people living in Wokingham have the lowest risk of a premature death, people in Manchester are more than twice as likely to die early. In fact, Manchester has the highest premature death rate in England.
We are very sorry, but we couldn't get a comparable death map from Thailand...

Pattaya's Big Promises are nothing else than empty words!
During the early morning hours of May 13th Pattaya Police arrested seven illegal and annoying Sex Guides on Walking Street.
The purpose of the operation was to target touts who carry laminated cards with information of sex shows and other x-rated attractions available for foreign tourists, Pattaya Police told the press.
It was nothing else than the usual Police Blah-Blah!
A few days later the whole bunch of touts was back on Walking Street. They are still molesting Pattaya's tourists.

Tell your subordinate to take an old pickup truck from the car park, fill it up with at least 25 Ladyboys loitering on nearby Beach Promenade, bring them back to Pattaya Police Station on Soi 9, fine them of just 100 Baht per person and release them back onto Pattaya's highly dangerous Beach Road.
And don't forget to inform Pattaya's highly educated reporters of your operation to clean up Pattaya to keep the City as safe as possible.
It's just what happened a few minutes after 24:00 on June 28th, 2013. The order was issued by Police Colonel Suwan, currently Pattaya's Police Chief.
We like stories like this. They read like some stupid people's jokes.
Amazing Pattaya
During April 2013 Pattaya Police created an Anti-Gambling Unit and closed down a fairground attraction at the car park of Tesco/Lotus North Pattaya.
The very same kind of attraction you could see a few days later at a temple fair. Pattaya Police didn't close the boothes.
On April 30th Pattaya Police arrested a few balloon dart operators and seized a few of the dolls and prizes at a fairground on the site of the former Xzyte Discotheque on Pattaya's 3rd Road, but did not touch a gambling booth on Walking Street's Soho Square until we published a picture.
Now we have a new picture: The Freaky Balloon Dart booth at Pattaya's Royal Garden Plaza is still running, unmolested by our watchful Pattaya Police and their very special Anti-Gambling Unit.
Same same is still not the same in this city - or our Police is simply too lazy to do their duties...

The United States of America are urging all countries to comply with the human rights and are accusing China of cyber attacking US companies and US institutions. But what America's secret services do should remain in the clouds.
The USA itself are even chasing people trying to bring some light into America's dirty machination.
Double Standards the rest of the world doesn't like:
We can - You not!
June 22nd 2013:
The US Justice Department has filed criminal charges against ex-National Security Agency (NSA) analyst Edward Snowden who leaked details of a (dirty) secret surveillance operation - and seeks his extradition from Hong Kong.
We urge the US Administration: Don't use the term Freedom of Speak anymore!
The USA lost their glamour - forever!
June 23rd 2013:
Judged on the recent actions of the National Security Agency (NSA) the United States is the world's biggest villain of our time.
Stop the work of these people immediately.
We don't need any snoopers in this world.
June 25th 2013:
Who is the Desperado, the USA or Edward Snowden?
The USA
Arrest America's Officials!
They are lying you, they are spying on you, they are cheating whole the world.
June 26th 2013:
In some countries secret intelligence is used to control their people - in ours, it only exists to protect their freedoms, UK Foreign Secretary William Hague says.
We should have nothing but pride in the unique and indispensable intelligence-sharing relationship between Britain and the United States, he added.
The leaders from IMF, EU and the involved European Countries told you that the money paid to solve the crisis in Greece will help the country's citizens.
You got cheated!
From the 207 Billion Euro Greece got until today, the country redirected 160 Billion Euro to banks and rich investors.
Only about 47 Billion Euro reached (some of} greece's citizens.
It's time to dissolve the European Union.
The EU's Mafia is wasting the taxpayer's money.

Nokia Cameraphone
During July 2013 Nokia may launch the new Lumia 1020 smartphone.
The phone features Windows Phone 8 and a 41-megapixel camera...
Facebook Home Smartphone flops
Facebook's first Facebook Home Smartphone, manufactured by HTC and known as HTC First, failed to meet market expectations.
Samsung Electronics, Sony Mobile Communications, Lenovo, ZTE and Huawei are now reluctant to cooperate with Facebook for the joint launch of Facebook Home-enabled smartphones.
Without Competition
Microsoft failed again.
Almost all manufacturers have already stopped developing and/or producing Windows RT-based tablets.
Therefore Microsoft's very own new Surface RT Tablet will remain without any competition in the shelves...
Microsoft is also having trouble in the smartphone industry: Acer, Asustek Computer and ZTE have postponed the development of Windows Phone 8-based products.
Microsoft currently has less than a 1% share in tablet markets and - as stated below - a negligible 3% share in smartphone markets.
Chipset solutions prices to drop further
Do to fierce competition between MediaTek, Spreadtrum Communications and Qualcomm prices of chipset solutions for smartphones and tablets are expected to decline 10-20% during the second half of 2013.
The unit price of quad-core smartphone solutions are already below US$10 in China.
Too Hot to Handle
Next year's Smarthones will get really hot! So hot in fact, that they need some additional cooling by ultra-thin (sometimes sheet shaped and/or watercooled) heat pipes.
NEC already presented a heat pipe cooled smartphone, the Medias X06E, Samsung, Apple and HTC will present their innovations during the fourth quarter of this year - or later.
Until today the cooling was provided by a conventional graphite pad plus an aluminium foil.
After 4G becomes a common transmission specification for smartphones in the future, the heat problem is only expected to become worse and needs a more advanced cooling technology.
Apple to launch cheaper iPhone
Apple is on the way to launch a cheaper iPhone.
The 'inexpensive' iPhone is built on a plastic chassis and is manufactured by Pegatron, a company affiliated to ASUS.
Pegatron will start to ship the new phone during August 2013.
Pegatron will also produce the next-generation iPad mini from Apple.
Samsung is reducing orders for Galaxy S4!
Reports from industry sources say that Samsung is reducing parts and components orders for its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4.
New models launched by HTC, Sony Mobile Communications and Huawei seems to hurt Samsung's business. It also seems that the market for high-end models is becoming saturated.
In China and other emerging markets the demand for entry-level to midrange smartphones is rising sharply.
Nevertheless, Samsung will still be able to maintain its market leadership by shipping over 70 million smartphones in the third quarter
Flopping Windows 8 Smartphones?
Microsoft Windows Phone 8 (WP8) platform has a global smartphone market share of 3%, far short of the originally expected 10%.
Only Nokia, Samsung, HTC and China-based Huawei Device launched WP8 phones so far.
Acer, Asustek Computer and ZTE originally planned to launch WP8 smartphones too, but, with the exception of Nokia, all the companies deferred to launch new models.
Branded Tablets too expensive!
According to manufacturers worldwide tablets are simpler to fabricate than netbooks or notebooks. Therefore they should be cheaper too!.
We expect that first-tier vendors' price competition will start during September 2013. 7-inch tablets featuring dual core or quad core CPUs will start at about US$99!
Branded Smartphones are overpriced too!
Smartphones are similar to produce as tablets.
The big producers are making big profits with them.
The phones need a price-correction too!
But as long as customers pay almost every price for the gadget, Samsung & Co. don't will reduce the prices...

New Watches
New watches built around flexible ePaper displays from E-Ink will hit the markets soon!
Slow e-mails
Recent tests here in Thailand show that sending e-mails from a gmail account to another account from gmail or Outlook can take up to 1 (ONE!) hour!
The same happens when sending mails from Outlook to gmail or to another account from Microsoft (Hotmail or Outlook).
Obviously not only Thailand's Postal Services are working slowly, the Internet seems to feel Thailand's heat too.
iPhone 4 banned
The US International Trade Commission has banned the imports of Apple's iPhone 4 into the USA.
The ITC ruled that iPhone 4 infringed a Samsung patent known as patent 348.
Microsoft's Restart
Microsoft Corp is bringing back the Windows "start" button on its latest Windows 8 operating system.
It is also offering a stripped-down version to reanimate sales of its latest Windows version, which until today was a real flop on the international market.
Not ready?
China is the world's largest market for Smartphone and Tablets, but most of China's Websites are not ready to be used on this devices.
It seems the creators of the sites are checking their creations on large screen smartTVs!

Today Thailand's Health Ministry roled out its plan for a war on dengue fever.
The dengue fever pandemic has claimed over 50 lives this year in Thailand.
Therefore Thailand's Health Ministry announced it will push for the establishment of dengue-fever war rooms in all provinces across the country.
But, as you can read and understand, it has a plan only - we will see and perhaps wait and wait...
