Military Junta Leader Prayut Chan-o-cha ordered Thailand's Army to monitor all movements of US Embassy representatives.
It's a move usually associated with paranoid or criminal people only, but Thailand's former General claims that the government must do what is necessary to maintain peace and order.

New Building collapse
Three Cambodian workers were injured when the third floor of a hotel being built on Soi Phettrakun behind North Pattaya's Big C Shopping Center collapsed today at about 11:00.
Construction was suspended pending a probe by Pattaya City's Division of Public Works to determine the cause of the collapse. A structural probe will determine if the construction was up to standard or not.
The building belongs to Mike's Place Co., Ltd., which aimed to open a 17-storey 287-room hotel.
The hotel is being built by Vorakit Construction Co., Ltd.
Vorakit Construction Co., Ltd. is also responsible for the construction of the controversial Waterfront Condominium on Bali Hai.

Military Junta's Double Standard
Since staging a coup on May 22nd, 2014, Junta Leader and Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha's Thailand is under martial law banning all kind of public protests.
Nevertheless, a group of Thai Royalists staged a protest at New Zealand's Embassy on January 24th, 2015, without being arrested.
The incident clearly shows the double standard applied by Thailand's Military Junta. No sign of reconciliation.

Thailand's Military Junta threatens Free Speech

Military Junta's Total Control
A new law that will become effective on February 1st, 2015, requires that SIM users register their name and ID Card or Passport details by 31st July 2015.
Not registered users will not be able to use their SIM after that date.
Natives as well as foreign citizens residenting in Thailand will need to register at any of the subscriber information registration points setup at Big C, Tesco Lotus and 7-11 stores.
Even if you have previously provided such information when you bought a SIM card in Thailand, it's highly likely that you are not registered because the mobile operators seem to have completely ignored or failed to implement the proper registration procedures.
If you are abroad between now and July 31st, it appears that you will not be able to register. You will lose your number as well as the money on its account.
The new law is just another proof that Thailand's Military Junta introduces new regulations ad hoc without considering the consequences.
Obviously the Junta's Officials are not used to use their brains.
The Military Junta's new digital economy bills, academics say, violate the freedom and liberties of people in several areas: They monopolise national resources and are clearly aimed at tightening the grip on security.
The Thai Netizen Network claims that the bills are not digital economy laws as claimed. They are basically security laws.

Lazy Officials:
Dirty Pattaya
Pattaya Daily News reports that people complain that hundreds of mice (or rats) are enjoying a good life on Bali Hai.
People find the mice (or rats) very unpleasant, very dirty and ask that the situation needs action.
Pattaya News Flash already reported during July 2014 and during October 2014 about the problem.
Obviously our Officials from Pattaya's Public Health and Environment Department are to lazy to tackle the problem.
Update (January 15th):
Pattaya One and Pattaya Daily News report that on January 14th Pattaya officials got rid of the mice in Bali Hai pier after receiving complaints.
Update (January 16th):
Officers from Pattaya's Public Health and Environment Office poisened rats and mice on Bali Hai Pier.

McNuggets
McVinyl
McDonald's Japan continues to experience drama with its side menu offerings.
A piece of vinyl was found in a chicken nugget sold over the weekend at one of its restaurants in the northern prefecture of Aomori.
As a result of the discovery, the fast food chain stopped sales of nuggets on the same day.
The contaminated nugget is currently being transported to the company's headquarters in Tokyo for further investigation, McDonald's announced.
McDonald's nuggets are produced at a plant in Thailand.
Update (Januar 14th):
McDonald's Holdings Co (Japan) and Cargill, the producer of McDonald's Nuggets, said in separate statements that an investigation showed the type of plastic found in the McNugget on January 3rd by a customer in Misawa, northern Japan, was not used at the plant in Saraburi, where the food was produced.

Don't worry, its not another coup d'état
Thailand's Military Junta told the public not to worry if they see tanks rolling into Bangkok later in the week.
Tanks, armoured personnel carriers and helicopters from various military bases will be transported into Bangkok for the Saturday children's day event.
It is not a signal of a another coup but an annual event organized by the military for Thailand's children, the army claims.
Early practice makes what wants to be a real warrior...
Unequal Rights for all
Thailand's national anti-graft body is finding it difficult to bring charges against former Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, his deputy Suthep Thaugsuban and others responsible for the deadly crackdown on protesters in 2010, but has no difficulties to charge Redshirt-allied politicians, such as former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
That's the advantage of a supporter of Thailand's Military.
The New York-based Human Rights Watch already condemned the ruling as a serious setback for accountability efforts in Thailand and an affront to basic justice and international law.

Tourists flock to Myanmar
Hotel and Tourism Ministry data showed Myanmar hosted more than 3.5 million tourists and earned US$1.14 billion in 2014.

Thailand, Japan and China made up 67 per cent of tourist arrivals.
Authorities predict 5 million tourist arrivals in 2015, about one third of the expected tourist arrivals in Thailand.

Pattaya Police got new Boss
On January 16th Pattaya Police Station on Soi 9 once again got a new boss.
Pol. Col. Sukthas Phoomphanmuang is the new superintendent at Pattaya City Police.
As usually Pattaya's police officers, volunteer policemen, businessmen and groups of the City's mass media congratulated and welcomed him with gift baskets.
Pol. Col. Sukthas Phoomphanmuang took over his job from Police Colonel Supatee, who resumes his role as the Deputy Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police.
Banglamung and Nongprue Police stations got new superintendents too:
Police Colonel Chonapat, former Deputy Chief of Pattaya Police Station, is the new chief of Banglamung Police Station.
Police Colonel Pramot is the new head of Nongprue Police. He was the Deputy Chief of Banglamung Police Station.
Both men obviously know the areas and their clients very well...

Drink but don't drive
On the last day of the year the Royal Gazette published a new law.
It prohibits driving under the influence of alcohol and other drugs.
Moreover, if a driver refuses to take a breathalyser and/or a walk-and-turn test he can be detained and/or charged with driving under the influence.
The penalty for refusing to take the test(s) is a jail term of up to one year and a fine of 10'000 to 20'000 Baht or both.
Under the old law, a driver who refused to take a test would be fined up to 1'000 Baht only.
If a driver agrees to take the test(s) and is found drunk, the penalty is a jail term of up to one year and a fine from 5'000 to 20'000 Baht.

City Hall removed Pattaya's unused Baywatch Towers
During May 2010 Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Khunplome and his City Hall installed observation towers along Pattaya's and Jomtien's Beaches.
In all that years they have never been used and were poised to rust away...
Between December 18th, 2014, the day when NightWalker took his last photo from a tower, and January 2nd, 2015, when he 'inspected' Pattaya's Beach Promenade again, the people from City Hall removed the towers quietly, without inviting the media to report and broadcast the removal.
Let's hope that Pattaya's generous spenders of the taxpayers money disappear too...

Parts of Pattaya's Beach are now without Pattaya's unscrupulous vendors of sun loungers and parasols.
Some people like the regulation, some not.
Fact is that Pattaya's sun is strong enough to provide some unhealthy sunburn.
Pattaya's clever doctors are already considering to open Sunburn Clinics along Pattaya's Beach...
We are convinced that this clinics will be a lot more expensive than the few Bahts the vendors asked for using their furniture.
But who knows, perhaps the doctors already signed some contracts with Pattaya's Officials - or Thailand's Military which already cleared the Beaches in Phuket, Hua Hin and other destinations.

The Way Chonburi wastes the Taxpayers' Money
On January 8th, 2014, Chonburi's Province Governor officially opened 17 pick-up and drop-off zones for Baht Busses along Pattaya's Beach Road.
Chonburi's lovely Governor claimed that any Baht Bus who stops outside of a parking area will be fined and clamped!
Nobody, perhaps with the exception of Chonburi's Governor and 28 private network organisations, ever wanted this Bus Stops, not the Baht Bus Cooperation or Pattaya's Baht Bus Drivers, not Pattaya's Police and not Pattaya's Tourists.
Nevertheless, the Bus Stops are still here, mostly unused - and they block urgently need parking areas.
Let's hope that at least the initiators could fill up their pockets...

Motorcycle Mafia is back in Town
During July 2014 Capt. Sittichai Chamsawat of the 14th Military Circle in Chonburi announced that motorbike taxis will have to adhere to the existing, but currently ignored, Land Transport Department fare regulations.
The regulation says that rides of two kilometers or less should not exceed 25 Baht. The third through fifth kilometer adds only 5 Baht each to the fare.
Capt. Sittichai Chamsawat said distances of more than five kilometers would remain negotiable.
The military urged the Taxi Drivers to publish their fares on Billboards at the Taxi ranks.
In the meantime the pricelists disappeared and the Taxi Drivers reintroduced the former higher fares.
The cleanup by the Military Junta was public relations only - nothing else.

Healthy Milk?
'Healthy' Milk...
The calcium contained in your daily glas of milk strengthens your bones.
That's what the advertisements tell you almost daily.
It's a lie - a myth passed down for decades.
Researchers from Harvard Medical School in Boston showed that milk despite their high calcium content does not contribute to bone density. On the contrary, milk may actually increase the risk of bone fractures and triggers osteoporosis.
Milk acidifies your body. To neutralize the acids your body needs minerals and it draws them from your bones and teeth.
The human body is not designed to milk consumption. To digest the milk sugar, the body needs the lactase enzyme, but after an age of approximately five your body doesn't produce lactase anymore - simply because it doesn't need milk anymore.
Drinking milk after an age of five is a threat on your life!

Thailand's Military Junta has authorised internet providers in Thailand to shut down any websites with content that threatens the national security or violates Section 112 (also known as lese majeste) "in 30 seconds" without seeking approval from any authority.
The move is seen in response to a lack of cooperation by foreign media companies in removing content the Thai government finds offensive. For example, 2014 Google did not remove any content requested by Thailand's Military Junta.

Military Junta Leader and Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha pushed back general election promised for late 2015, saying that election must come with a new constitution and eleven reform areas. Therefore he can stretch election into 2016 or 2017...
The Dictator and his wife have declared a joint worth of 128 million Baht in assets and 654'745 Baht in debt. He said he could not remember the details, but all of the items could be examined and verified. I can justify my personal wealth, he claims.
On May 9th, 2013, the General sold nine plots of land totalling 50 rai located in Bangkok's Bang Bon district to 69 Property Co Ltd. The company has a British Virgin Islands address, was registered just 7 days before the deal and belongs to Thailand's liquor and property billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi.
When Thaksin Shinawatra sold his AIS to Temasek Holdings, a company owned by the Government of Singapore, the very same Bangkok Elite called the deal a foulplay...
Selling assets to a foreign company is a legal way for Thai citizens to avoid paying taxes, but it seems it is a big difference if a member of Bangkok's Elite does the deal or a newcomer from Chiang Mai.
The Junta Leader ordered the media not publishing news about Thailand's former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. Dictator Prayuth Chan-ocha claims that Thaksin Shinawatra violated Thailand's law.
Be aware of the NSA
Be aware of the NSA
The National Security Agency has built a network that can access as much as 75% of all U.S. Web traffic. With the help of Great Britain's Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), they control whole of Europe too.
Disolve the EU!
Disolve the European Union! It's nothing else than a gigantic Mafia Organisation wasting the Taxpayers money.
Disolve the EU!
The bureaucrats in the European Union are supporting Monsanto, Dupont, Syngenta, Bayer Crop Science and KWS and endanger with their regulations the biodiversity of our foods, plants and animals.
Stop these idiots, before it's too late!
Disolve the
European Union!
Global Warming
Global Warming:
It's a Myth!
Nature isn't predictable
1968 scientists predicted the comeback of the Ice-Time. What they will tell you tomorrow?
We do not ignore 'Climat Change', but we know that this planet faces 'Climate Changes' since millions of years - some even a lot more dramatic than today and without the help of humans.
Todays 'Climat Change' is nothing else than a very lucrative business idea.
The United Nations Environment Programme (Unep) claims:
Global Warming could cost almost three times as much as thought...
The CO2 emissions tax doesn't reduce any CO2 emission, its just another way to extort money from the taxpayers.
The United Nations as well as the European Union are some of the world's most useless organisations.
Milk the Cow before somebody else does it!
Avoid Electric Vehicles
Electric Vehicles use batteries and batteries are not only a threat to our planet during manufacturing, the 'Recycling' of batteries is still an unsolved problem in most countries.
Don't use Solar Cells
Solar Cells are a threat to our planet:
The higher the efficiency of a Solar Cell the more Cadmium it contains.
Cadmium is banned from most products in almost all countries, but it can be used without restrictions in Solar Cells. Who controls the 'Recycling' of Solar Cells?
No Nuke Please!
Never forget Chernobyl, Hiroshima, Nagasaki & Fukushima!
Never use a technology you do not master 100%!
Never forget:
It's not your Face and not your Body that makes you sexy.
It's your MONEY!
Hannspree PC
This World's smallest Windows PC
Hannspree has squeezed an Intel quad-core Atom based PC running on Microsoft Windows 8.1 into a stick.
Built into the stick are a 1.83GHz quad-core Atom, 2Gbyte RAM, 32Gbyte eMMC flash, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a Micro USB port, a USB2.0 port, and a Micro SD card reader.
The Micro SD slot officially supports up to 64Gbyte of additional storage but has been successfully tested with up to 128Gbyte.
No Recovery with Windows 10
During the third quarter of this year Microsoft will launch Windows 10 and Intel its 14nm-based Skylake CPUs.
Microsoft as well as Intel believe that their new products will revitalize the PC market, but the world's leading manufacturers are conservative about the new Wintel combination's ability to stimulate the replacement of PCs.
They expect their shipments for notebooks in 2015 to remain at around the same level as in 2014.
No Bargains
No Bargains in Thailand
Don't expect any bargains in electronic goods in Thailand.
As an example: Sony's digital Camera DSC W830 costs between 3'990 Baht at Pattaya's CentralFestival and 4'990 Baht (!) at South Pattaya's Tukcom Shopping Center.
In most countries the very same camera costs about US$ 100 (including VAT).
Amazon.com currently sells the camera at US$88 (excluding VAT).
Do you know the World's TOP 10 TV Manufacturers?
The world's largest TV manufacturers are:
Samsung (20.8%)
LG Electronics (14%)
TCL (6.5%)
Sony (6.3%)
Hisense (4.8%)
Skyworth (4.5%)
Toshiba (4.2%)
AOC (4.1%)
Panasonic (4%)
Sharp (3.8%)
The statistic shows the global market share held by LCD TV manufacturers in 2013.
Numbers for 2014 will be available later this year but it is expected that manufacturers from Japan will lose market shares again.
Perhaps Vizio will enter the TOP 10.
PS.: Wikipedia ranks Panasonic as #4, far away from reality.
The #3 Smartphone Vendor
Xiaomi, three years ago a nobody in the business, has become the world's third-largest smartphone vendor, after Samsung and Apple.
In China Xiaomi is the No. 1. The company sells more phones than Samsung or Apple.
Today Xiaomi is worth nearly three times the market capitalization of Lenovo Group Ltd, the world's No. 1 PC maker.
Even more interesing:
Xiaomi has no factories, no physical retail stores and no inventory.
Xiaomi only sells on the Internet, with no third-party distribution - but Xiaomi designs and sells high quality products at reasonable prices.
15.6-inch Google Chromebooks under US$300
Acer as well as Dell will launch Chromebooks featuring 15.6-inch displays during the first half of 2015.
The laptops from both vendors will use Google's Chrome Operating System and Intel's new Broadwell-U processors, which are fully comparable to Intel's Core i3 CPUs.
Microsoft is planning to start a new Windows 8.1 with Bing project in February 2015 to push US$249 notebooks but the new Chromebooks will hurt Microsoft's Windows 8.1 with Bing in the inexpensive notebook market once again.
