Who kills 'Good Old Bangkok'?
Century-old Communities and Markets are razed down, Food Vendors are banned from Streets and the City's main River, known as Chao Phraya, will get a corset made from concrete. Who kills the heart and soul of Bangkok?
Bangkok Post names names in its enchanting but interesting and instructive story.

Earthquake hits Nan
A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Nan, a northern province of Thailand, on Saturday afternoon. No injuries or damage are reported so far.
Nevertheless, we urge Thailand's Dictator General Prayuth Chan-ocha to invoke Section 44 to immediately stop the spread of future earthquakes in this country.
Quakes are offenses against the security of the state and need immediate actions.
Amazing Thailand
First the highly educated Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) announced a crackdown on all street food vendors in the capital.
After a strong public outcry BMA's Officials say that vendors can come back if they undergo a health training as part of a strong health-and-safety push.
And now the lovely people from the (in)famous Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) come out with the idea to host a Bangkok Street Food Festival in June to lure more international travellers to come to this amazing country where the left hand obviously does not know what the right hand is doing.
But just when the TAT announced its new idea for the event mentioned above, BMA's people from Bangkok's City Hall told the press that they will continue its programme to close down all street food sales...
Bangkok Post reports from empty streets. Popular locations have become deserted, it reads.
The Nation: Nine must-eat Thai street food before they vanish from Bangkok streets.

- or simply Stupidity²?
More Corruption, not less!
After his Military Coup in May 2014, Thailand's Dictator General Prayuth Chan-ocha promised to eradicate corruption in this country.
Empty words.
According to a recent report, published by Bangkok Post, Thailand's Command Centre for Combating Illegal Fishing (CCCIF) has set up a panel to look into complaints accusing some officials of demanding bribes from trawler operators.
The boat operators say they had to pay around 5'000 to 300'000 Baht per month and trawler to some officials at the centre to allow them to send vessels of less than 30 tons on a fishing voyage.
People working in the red light business claim behind closed doors that, in addition to pay bribes to Police, influent Persons and the (security) Mafia as in the past, they have to fill up the pockets of a forth power too...

Splash Thailand's Dictator
Splash Thailand's Dictator
Thailand's Dictator General Prayuth Chan-ocha was the top scorer among the personalities that most Bangkokians want to splash water on during this year's Songkran Festival, a survey conducted by Bangkok University claims.
Since the Dictator's handpicked Military Junta assumed power in a coup in May 2014, the much-anticipated elections have repeatedly been delayed – first into 2016 and then 2017. Yesterday Thailand's #1 storyteller promised the country's citizens that the election process will start next year...
But it will be an election without any consequences:
Although Thailand's Army Chief General Chalermchai Sittisat pledged that the army would never again seize power - simply because it would not have to:
The Military Junta just incorporated Section 44 into Section 265 of Thailand's new constitution.
On April 12th Thailand's Army Chief told his underlings that the (current) Government (read the Army) needs Section 44 so it can assert firm control over national security...

The 'Free Emergency' Saga continous
Thailand's Public Health Ministry told its citizens that all emergency patients would receive free medical services within 72 hours of developing life-threatening symptoms, from April 1 onwards.
As with many announcements of this Government it seems to be the usual propaganda trick only to improve the Junta's bad image.
According to a report published by The Nation 527 of 912 patients who sought the government's much-advertised free emergency medical help between April 1st and 9th found themselves labelled unqualified at hospitals.
Update (April 16th):
Care system sadly in an unhealthy state
Patients stung by medical fees
To get free emergency treatment people have to be a member of the National Health Security Fund, Social Security Fund or the fund for medical welfare to state officials. That means Expats and Tourists are excluded.

Free Emergency Treatment
Starting from April 1st, 2017, emergency patients can receive free medical service for the first 72 hours at any hospital before they are transferred to their registered hospital on their medical scheme, Thailand's Public Health Ministry informs.

Immigration News
Important Notice
Since General Prayuth Chan-ocha and his Military Junta launched their Coup d'état on May 22nd, 2014, Thailand's Visa ground rules are constantly changing. More over, not every consulate can issue all the different Visas. Some smaller consulates even display notices to the effect that non-immigrant visas are unavailable.
Our advice: Before booking your holidays please contact the Embassy in your country to obtain information about Thailand's latest regulation(s) and check the Chonburi Immigration Website or the website of Thailand's Immigration Police.
Update (March 2016):
New Overstay Regulations
Thailand's new immigration policy will take effect on March 20th of this year.
Please click for details!
Busy Immigration
Pol Lt Gen Nathathorn Prousoontorn, chief of the Immigration Bureau, informed the media that between October 2015 and March 2016 Thailand's Immigration deported a total of 486'947 foreigners who overstayed their visas. Another 323'575 foreigners overstaying their visas still remain at large.
If the numbers mentioned above are correct, the Immigration Bureau deported about 2'700 people a day...
Congratulation!
Never trust a statistic that you have not manipulated yourself!
New 10-year Visa
Thailand's interim Government announced on November 22nd, 2016, that foreign residents over 50 will be able to apply for 10-year visas.
The new Visa would replace one-year renewable visas and come in two installments of five years each.
Applicants must either earn a monthly salary of at least 100'000 Baht or have more than 3 million Baht in their bank account, which cannot be withdrawn within the first year after receiving the visa.
Applicants also must also have a health insurance that covers hospital stays and provides at least US$10'000 in annual coverage.
Visa holders will still have to check in every 90 days with the Bureau of Immigration.
Up & Down
Thailand's Military Junta cuts the visa-on-arrival fee for tourists from Andorra, Bulgaria, Bhutan, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan from today 2'000 Baht to 1'000 Baht.
The 1'000-Baht fee for visas sought at Thai embassies and consulates would be lifted.
The reduction is applicable from December 1st, 2016, to February 28th, 2017, only.
The change was announced less than two months after the visa fee was increased to 2'000 Baht on September 27th, 2016...
New Rules
Foreigners who enter Thailand without a visa via a land border crossing can now do so only twice per calendar year.
Those who seek to enter Thailand without a visa via a land border checkpoint for a third time in a calendar year may be denied entry and asked to apply for a regular visa first.
Entries through international airports are not affected by this new regulation.
While eligible foreigners who enter Thailand under the “visa exemption” scheme would previously get 30 days exclusively at international airports but only 15 days at border crossings, this rule has now been relaxed and all foreigners will receive 30-day entry stamps also at land border checkpoints.
The new rules went into effect on December 31st, 2016.
Free visas extended
Bangkok Post reports that Thailand's Government extended by six months to August free visas at Thai consulates and embassies and discounts on visas on arrival for visitors from 21 countries.

Dirty and stinky Tap Water in Pattaya
We don't care!
Tap Water in some parts of Pattaya
Since April 19th Pattaya's highly professional Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) delivers dirty tap water to houses, residences and hotels in some parts of this World Class City.
The water contains a lot of black sand and has a terrible smelling, but nobody cares.
A Chemist told us:
Do not use Pattaya's water to clean your teeth.
Be careful and use Drinking Water when cleaning wounds and/or genitals.
Nevertheless, Pattaya's tap water is still less contaminated than the sea in front of this World Class Beach Resort...
Our Officials destroy the 'Good Image' of Pattaya - nobody else.
Fasten Seat Belt
All passengers traveling in vehicles with seatbelts must wear them
Sitting on a truck bed is forbidden
Passengers will no longer be allowed to ride in the back of pickup trucks

We declare Pattaya the Center of the Universe
Pattaya, the Center of the Universe
Pattaya, the Center of the Universe
On April 1st, 2017, Thailand's Government declared Pattaya, the World Class Beach and Family Resort on the East Coast of the Gulf of Thailand, the Center of the Universe.
An unidentified Government Spokesman said that the worldwide rampant decline in births has prompted Thailand's Ministry of Culture to reposition Pattaya completely.
Therefore we urged all A Go-Go Clubs, Bars, Dancings, Massage Parlours and Hospitals in the City of Pattaya to present every single hour a 10 to 15 minutes long unambiguous live presentation to show the audiance how to create a family full of children.
Furthermore, the Spokeman said, the nomination of Pattaya as the Center of the Universe is in consonance of Thailand's political line to declare Thailand as the Hub of anything and everything in Asia, ASEAN or the World.
Since General Prayuth Chan-ocha and his handpicked Military Junta, known as the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), seized the power in 2014 they declared
  • Thailand, the Hub of Food
  • Thailand, the Hub of ASEAN
  • Thailand, the Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility
  • Thailand, the HUB for Science, Technology and Innovation
  • Thailand, the Medical Hub of ASEAN
  • Thailand, Asean's Logistics Hub
  • Thailand, the Global Hub for pickup production
  • Thailand, the World's Jewelry Hub
  • Thailand, the Education Hub for Southern Region of ASEAN Countries
  • Thailand, the Hub of ASEAN Metrology
  • Thailand, Asia's marine hub
  • Thailand, the Hub of retail business and tourism
  • Thailand, the new cultural and civic Hub
  • Thailand, the bioplastic Hub for Asean
  • Thailand, Asia's Next Aviation MRO Hub
  • Thailand, the Asean Organic Hub
  • Some expert even claims that Thailand can be the World's marijuana medical hub
Stop the Press!
On the very same day (April 1st, 2017), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, usually known as UNESCO, selected Pattaya as World Heritage Site for its cultural, historical and scientific significance.
Therefore our City and its Bars, Clubs, Massage Parlours and all the other Entertainment Venues are now legally protected by international treaties as a historically identifiable piece of special cultural and physical significance.
Who destroys the 'good' image of Pattaya?
Officials are responsible for Pattaya's 'good image'
In the wake of negative publicity by some (English) tabloids about Pattaya's sex industry our highly educated Officials begun a new effort to re-brand our world-class city and declared the resort's infamous Walking Street a 'Happy Zone', where swindling or attacking of visitors is prohibited.
Nevertheles, the 'Happy Zone' seems to be nothing else than a rebranding of the so called (and failed) 'Safety Zones' a few months ago, some local publications are already writing.
Chonburi Police Chief Pol Maj-General Somprasong Yentuam even claimed that Pattaya will be a great place to be for the whole world. In the same breath Provincial Governor Pakkaratorn Teianchai told the media that 'we are not allowing prostitution in these entertainment places'. And Apichai Krobpetch, chief of Pattaya City Police told Reuters that 'this is a pioneer project to organise a tourist destination and elevate it to promote Thailand's quality tourism. We will also stamp out prostitution in the area'. He also blamed British businessmen for setting up the sex trade at the resort.
After a walk on Pattaya's Walking Street even Permanent Secretary Pongpanu Sawetrun of Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports said he found Walking Street to be orderly and full of varied attractions.
All this Officials will never understand that their stupid announcements, remarks and actions are responsible for the bad image of our World Class Beach Resort.
Since 2012 our Officials promise to clean Pattaya's Street from unused cables. We reported on June 2012, February 2015, May 2015, June 2015, August 2015 and on July 2016 about their promises. Until today nothing improved.
During last year the ruling Military Junta introduced new (and 'binding') tarifs for Pattaya's Motorcycle Taxis. All empty promises. The taxi drivers still charge about twice the published tariffs, no matter if it is a Thai customer or a Farang. Don't expect any action from our Officials.
On December 26th, 2016, the ruling Military Junta introduced new routes for our Baht Busses and published an incorrect map. A second map published during February 2017 was wrong too. Moreover, our lovely Officials painted Bus Stops all over our city. They are used by the white painted Baht Busses only, most of Pattaya's (blue) Baht Bus drivers are ignoring the Bus Stops as do almost all the locals and the tourists.
Our Officials introduced Wednesday as a parasol and deckchair free beach day, ignoring all warnings from international organisations about the high risk of cancer due to ultraviolet radiation.
On Monday February 15th, 2016 (!), Police Major General Ampon, the Provincial Police Commander, announced a big and so far unlimited crackdown on all kind of traffic violations, including parking vehicles in prohibited areas, ignoring traffic lights, driving in wrong directions and/or run over double or single yellow lines, but nothing changed so far. Motorcycle drivers still drive in every direction on any one way street and ignore almost all red lights in this town, as do many Van and Tour Bus chauffeurs - unpunished.
On December 15th, 2016, residents informed Pattaya Officials about a foul smelling at Naklua's Wong Amat Beach, advertised as Pattaya's most beautiful Beach. It took our 'busy' Officials .more than 3 months to check the pump of the sewage treatment plant and to fix the problem. The maintenance contract for the 10-year-old sewage treatment plant expired 3 years ago.
Only about 20% of Pattaya's wastewater is fed to sewage treatment plants, but because of missing maintenance, most of the plants do not work correctly anymore. But our highly educated Officials still claim that Pattaya is the perfect place for families... Pattaya's Beaches are a perfect home for rats, but not for children.
City Hall claims to run a World Class Beach Resort, but its officials are not even able to publish an event calendar.
Fact is that prostitution is illegal in this country. Fact is too that our Officials visited the city's largest Massage Parlours and couldn't find anything wrong.
Fact is again, that from the more than 1'000 hotels in Pattaya only about 240 have a legal lizence. The Authorities know about it for a very long time - and closed an eye - but opened their hands.
It is known that Officials collect millions of Baht from illegal businesses, not only in Pattaya but all over Thailand.

Thailand's stupid Sugar Tax
Ripoff
Thai Military Junta says it will continue to promote initiatives to encourage healthier eating and drinking habits. Therefore, the junta is planning to impose excise tax on drinks with high sugar content. The junta also launched the Healthier Choice logo programme and regularly publishes 'academic studies' to communicate to consumers the dangers of excessive sugar consumption.
One of this 'studies' claims that Researchers from Thailand's Mahidol University believe that people drinking a black tea containing polyphenols experienced less of a blood sugar spike than people sipping a placebo drink that contained no polyphenols.
In our view, imposing an excise tax on drinks with high sugar content is the wrong way to a healthier life, because the manufacturer will simply replace sugar with an artificial sweetener or with a fructose corn syrup.
The Military Junta also seems to extemp drinks containing fructose and less than 6% sugar from the excise tax. Researchers all over the world claim that fructose is far more dangerous for people having diabetes than ordinary sugar.
Artificial sweeteners or the increasingly popular fructose corn syrup are still regarded as a potential danger for our health.
For additional information about artificial sweetener and fructose corn syrup read the following publications:
Artificial sweeteners and other sugar substitutes
Isoglucose may take a third of EU sugar market
Glucose syrups
Updated factsheet on glucose fructose syrups, isoglucose and high fructose corn syrup
Thailand's new Sugar Tax will not make people healthier but will be introduced to reap billions of Baht for the state coffers - to finance Thailand's new Submarines and other Military Toys.
We already wrote last year in our September (2016) publication, the real reason behind obesity is not sugar but the lack of physical exercises.
How much sugar should I eat? BBC goodfood, tries to give an answer.

Thailand's Military Junta also decided in a cloak-and-dagger operation to raise the excise tax on jet fuel by a whopping 1'900% and asked Thailand's citizens to pay 1% more in value-added tax (VAT) to reap 100 billion Baht for the state coffers.
Futhermore, Thailand's Military Junta revealed plans to increase the price of one single cigarette by as much as five Baht and the excise charges on bathing at massage parlors is set to go up by 1'000 Baht a time! Read more about this here.

On September 3rd, 2012, Vorayuth Yoovidhaya, the grandson of the billionaire who invented the energy drink Red Bull, allegedly killed Police Sergeant-Major Wichian Klanprasert, who was riding his motorbike along Bangkok's Sukhumvit Road. The Officer was struck by a Ferrari driven by Mr Vorayuth.
It took the police six months to prepare criminal charges of speeding, reckless driving causing death, and fleeing the scene of an accident.
Throughout 2013, Mr Vorayuth failed to appear seven times to hear the charges. In September 2013 the limitation period for the speeding charge expired.
In September 2013 the prosecutor ordered police to arrest him after his seventh no-show. Nothing happened.
Since the accident Mr. Vorayuth Yoovidhaya enjoys his High-Society live inside and outside of Thailand with his jet-setting friends.
A spokesman for the Office of the Attorney-General said his five-year refusal to appear is acceptable because he filed a complaint of unfair treatment...

From A Go-Go to real Food
Thai Food Corner
In the rooms of the former Moon A Go-Go Club a Snack Bar will open 'soon'. Named Thai Food Corner, it announces to serve Thai Foods, including the popular Pad Thai, as well as some seafood and 'shaved ice' desserts.
Overmind closed again
On April 16th, Overmind, the second floor A Go-Go Bar with doors on Soi 15 and Soi Diamond, was in the dark again. The club reopened on March 10th, 2017, after being closed a few weeks for some 'refurbishments'.
PS. The venue was still closed on April 20th, obviously soon a new case for our Emergency Room.
Burger World closed down again
Burger World, the venue trying to sell Australian Beef Burger at premium prices, closed down its shop on April 12th (again). On April 24th the venue reopened once more...
New Wave opend on Soi 16
New Wave, located at the entrance to Soi 16, opened on Saturday, April 8th, 2017, as Soi 16. The new venue provides life music with an almost perfect light show and features Pattaya's largest display. On its 'second floor' it has nice and large balconies which provides an excellent overview of the stage.
The long wait was obviously worth it.
The eye catching new building enjoys the full support of Pattaya City Hall's world-known, 'beautiful' but dangerous cable salad...

Adjusting Nang Nual?
Just in front of the New Wave building, where Nang Nual's Garden Restaurant used to be, something unusual happens: The Garden Restaurant disappeared, a small building comes to light as well as a small pond.
It seems, that Nang Nual too has to adjust its business to the ever-decreasing number of quality tourists...
Eating at Miami?
Miami will replace the defunct Alcazera A Go-Go Club and it's door(s) will be on Walking Street, not on Soi 15. According to the latest rumors, the new nightclub will work like a Thai Pub. e.g. it will provide Dancers, Food, Drinks and Service Girls. The venue is scheduled to open on May 27th, 2017.
This concept works with Asians, but with Westerners? We have some doubts.
L'Italiano closed
During the last days of March L'Italiano, a well-known Restaurant & Pub on Walking Street, closed down. It was also known for its tasty but very expensive bread(s).
Rumors tell that L'Italiano opens a new food outlet on Soi Buakhaow. Should we ever find it - you will read it here. For sure!

Be aware of Songkran
This year, the Maha Songkran or the Thai New Year happened on April 13th, when day and night accidently were of equal length. This was followed by Nao Day (Middle day) on April 14th, and the New Year itself on April 15th.
According to information from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Joyous Songkran Splendours, specially organised by the TAT and local organisations from the public and private sector, took place in Pattaya from April 11th to 20th, 2017, from 09:00 until 00:00 at the City's North, Central and South Beaches as well as at Naklua's Lan Bodhi Park.
No special events were announced for Jomtien.
Nevertheless, people living in Pattaya during Songkran 2017, could attend the biggest water fight anywhere in the world, some media report.
According to Pattaya Mayor Pol Maj-General Anan Charoenchasri the South Pattaya Walking Street fair was held on Pattaya Soi 6. The fair promoted Thai traditional values during the Songkran festival from April 12th to 20th in an effort to correct the resort's image as a 'sex city'.
Update (April 11th, 2017):
Khaosod English reports that Songkran to go off wild as ever!
Khaosod English asks Miss the good ole days?
And shows that Songkran was wild then too.
Update (April 19th, 2017):
During Songkran Cartoonist Mike Baird left this Place of Horror.
Reports claim that NightWalker entrenched himself in his accommodation with water, bread and tasty sausages from BMS to survive the festivities without prejudice.

How to shit on our Cartoonist
How to shit on our Cartoonist
I have lived in Center Condo next to a Big Temple on South Pattaya Road for the past 20 years Recently we have been invaded with hundreds of Pigeons all looking for somewhere to call Home.
I started to see and hear them when they were trying to make a nest on top of my Air-con units.
I put up Plastic Boxes – String and Pillows to block their progress.
All I got was two Pigeons looking down on me from the Pillows thinking they were there for their comfort.
They came back no matter what I did.
One to Them.
I was exasperated with shooing them away as they were Shiting and Cooing all Fucking Day.
I decided to put some Glue on plates to end all this – but nothing happened.
The glue must have had a bad smell as they never went anywhere near my Air-Cons again.
One to Me.
They moved onto my overhanging canopy that I had covering my Large Balcony and started nesting.
It wasn't noisy at the beginning but later their relatives started to visit or maybe it was just Horny Shaggers.
When these little Darlings landed on top of my canopy it sounded like a RHINO landing – Boom – Boom.
Every morning the Shagging started about 8-00 a.m. there were at least 10 Pigeons flapping at one time.
Holy Shit. It was like a Frenzy – Something had to be done.
I forgot to tell you that Years ago when I moved into my lovely Condo – I had a beautiful View over the Bay. Since then The Temple has built an Illegal Car-Park right in front of me.
This is Thailand – They can do whatever they want.
Well, The Roof of the Car-Park was level with my Balcony so I had rows and rows of Pigeons trying to stake their claim to my canopy.
I had heard that if you hang Old Computer Disc around your balcony the flashing from the Sun would hurt their eyes and they would GO AWAY.
IT DID – THEY DIDN'T.
Then I tried a Water Pistol – Which worked but they seem to enjoy a quick shower – then they flew away but came back with their Friends.
THAT DIDN'T WORK.
Then I tried small white pebbles that I threw over their heads that banged on the roof of the Car-Park.
IT WORKED – BUT THEY KEPT COMING BACK.
One little Bastard wouldn't move when I was throwing all these pebbles around him.
HE WAS NOT BOTHERED –SO I GAVE UP.
I bought myself a B-B Gun that fired little plastic pellets.
I spotted 3 Pigeons in a line on the Car-Park Roof – Now was the time to End it All.
I stood on my Balcony and Fired and Fired – All they did was to just sit there and Laugh.
These little Plastic Pellets were being blown away by the wind – I just stood there in disbelief.
THAT DIDN'T WORK EITHER.
Then a Scottish Friend of mine bought over a Life Size Furry OWL that had batteries inserted in its bottom which turned on a laser censer beam – if anything came near – his head would swivel and he would HOOT.
WHAT A BRILLIANT IDEA.
I got a ladder and fixed the OWL on top of the Canopy – The Pigeons didn't give a Fuck.
They Dived Bombed past him and the Fucking Owl HOOTED and Fucking HOOTED.
THEY BECAME PALS – THAT DIDN'T WORK.
I then tried a Fake Plastic Apple (That I took from a Fake Apple Tree).
I tied it to a piece of string so I could flip it up onto the roof of the canopy – make a Bang and pull it back.
And not use the Pebbles as the canopy might come down with the weight of these Fucking Pebbles I've thrown up week after week. The Apple Idea was Good but I had to keep running outside when I heard them shagging and dive bombing – The Pigeons were having a great laugh watching me run back and forwards – it was exhorting.
BUT IT WORKED.
I came up with another idea
As I had always sat by my window while I was on my computer – I could see them and hear them Dive Bombing day after day. I rigged up a 10 foot pole that I could stand outside my window. And when I saw or heard them Land – I could open the window and grab the pole and lift it up to BANG on the Roof…IT WORKED. They flew away stunned – But they would watch me every time I did it – then they realized I couldn't hurt them.
After a while I would hear the rumblings of many Pigeons in a Frenzy and I would open the window and grab the pole and Bang on the roof again and again but their noise was so loud that they couldn't hear me – they wouldn't stop until I ran outside with my fake apple to slam it on the roof to make them fly off.
THAT`S IT!!! I'VE LOST – I CAN'T WIN – I WILL HAVE TO GIVE IN AND JUST EXCEPT THIS NIGHTMARE.
Then GOD came to me one day while I was shopping – I had popped onto this Japanese Shop to buy a few pens and gadgets and low and behold I saw a box that said inside was a “BLOW UP BLACK CROW” that would scare away Pigeons – all for the price of 60 Baht – Cheap.
I took a chance – Why Not.
When I got home I blew up this stupid looking Black Plastic Crow – It was about one foot in length – What do I do now?
I went out and found a bamboo stick about 3 feet in length.
I tided the black crow onto the stick with a bit of string that made it look like it was flying when the wind caught it. I taped the stick to the canopy and I looked up and saw the plastic crow flapping around in the wind.
But SHOCK of SHOCKS – For the last 8 Days there has been NO SIGNS OF ANY PIGEONS.
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT !!!!!!
An Amazing update to this story is today I am sitting here at my window on my computer and I turn to look out of the window and bugger me there is a Big Black Bird (Not a Pigeon) sitting there looking across – It looked like my Plastic Crow – same size – I know nobody would believe me so I got my phone with my camera on and ran out and took a photo.
Really Unbelievable but I have Proof.
I forgot to tell you about the PEASHOOTER I bought and tested – It fires right over the Car-Park – The only problem I have is – There are “NO PIGEONS” to fire at.

More Information
Pattaya claims to be a world-class beach resort. It's a lie! The city is not even capable to present an event calendar.
Most events are announced only a few days before they happen.
Other cities or even whole regions publish event calendars or event books covering all events of a year.
Pattaya suffers from megalomania.

No Alcohol Days
Thailand's National No Alcohol Days include Buddhist holidays and election days.
On all oher days alcohol can only be sold between 11:00-14:00 and 17:00-24:00.
Vendors caught breaking the ban are liable to a prison sentence of up to six months, a 10'000 Baht fine or both - but local Police use their own discretion to decide which venues need to be visited and fined...
Don't start laughing:
Do not try to buy non alcoholic beers (available from Clausthaler and Oettinger in this country).
The shops won't sell them during dry days.
Some not even sell Soda Water, because Thais and their Police associate it with (Thai) Whisky...

Electric Vehicles use batteries and batteries are not only a threat to our planet during manufacturing, the 'Recycling' of batteries is still an unsolved problem in most countries.
If the power for charging the batteries is generated by fossil or nuclear power plants than the LCA (life cycle assessment) turns completely to the worse.

Gigantic LED Displays
The next trend in High-Tech will be gigantic LED displays made by millions of tiny LEDs measuring 0.4 to 0.5mm only.
Samsung already unveiled a large Cinema Screen measuring 10.3 meters by 5.4 meters.
During the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Sony presented a similar display too.
A somewhat smaller display using the same technology is installed at the new Soi 16 Music Hall (formerly announced as New Wave) on Pattaya's Walking Street.
