Phuket is missing Water
Just hours after the Phuket Governor held a press conference to specifically explain that Phuket is not suffering a drought crisis, about 80 residents from Rassada staged a protest in front of Phuket Provincial Hall over the lack of water supply to their community.
Who tells the true?
The People or Phuket's Governor?

No Money!
The loss-ridden State Railway of Thailand (SRT) is counting on the government's help to settle the 11.88 billion Baht in compensation it has been ordered to pay Hopewell over the cancellation of a large-scale transport project two decades ago.
Acting SRT governor Worawut Mala said on Tuesday his agency does not have enough cash to pay the compensation, and he hoped the government would step in to help.
Including interest, the amount has now reached 25 billion Baht and is payable within 180 days of the court order.

And who pays at the end? Thailand's taxpayers! Confession
Normally I can still keep myLady™ entertained for another hour or two. But yesterday the happy ending came after about 7 minutes.
Obviously my body knew better than I did that yesterday was Happy April Fools Day.

Pattaya News Flash April 2019 - The Source
from the City where your Passion is still a Possibility©
Pattaya still means Fun
Thailand's Dictator and his handpicked Military Junta don't like jokes
Thailand's Military Junta prefers to publish their very own 'Fake News' with the generous help of their Election Commision Be aware: The City is in a State of Emergency during Thailand's traditional New Year Festival
Songkran Rules 2019:
Powder and chalk are not permitted, nor are high-power water guns
Songkran foam parties have been banned too
Water-throwing has to stop at 18:00
But it is also a Thai tradition to ignore all the rules
Nothing shows the childlike mind of the Thais better than Songkran and their stupid television shows and soap operas.
Thailand's health ministry even had to warn its citizens of possible Post-Songkran Depressions.
A Farce staged by Thailand's Military Junta?
Did Thailand's Dictator and his hand-picked Military Junta launch the most questionable Elections in Thai History?
Thailand's unteachable Architects
During March, I looked with a colleague at a large number of condominiums, shophouses and one & multi-storey detached houses.
We noticed that the stairs in most buildings are much too steep and the steps much too short. In simple words: Too dangerous to use!
Sensitized, we also took a closer look at the stairs in the shopping centers - and to our surprise - they were also wrongly dimensioned in most cases.
Even in the new Terminal 21, we found completely fatically dimensioned staircases in the entrance areas.
Actually completely incomprehensible, since the calculation formula for safe and comfortable staircases was developed and presented by Engineer and Mathematician Francois Blondel as early as 1675. It is still valid all over the world, except in Thailand. Here the formula is obviously ignored both by the architects and by the responsible authorities. A shame!

Coconut Oil works better than DEET!
A recent study by a scientists' team led by Junwei Zhu and published in Scientific Reports journal has discovered specific coconut oil fatty acids that contains strong repellency as well as long-lasting effectiveness against several insects like mosquitoes, ticks and bed bugs.
DEET (chemical name, N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide) is the active liquid ingredient in a variety of bug-repellent sprays, lotions, sticks, roll-ons and other consumer products. DEET works by forming a barrier that masks the human scent from attracting insects.
Tests show that the coconut's oil fatty acids' repellency was stronger and had longer residual activity than that of DEET, fending off biting flies and bed bugs for up to two weeks after application, and repelling ticks for up to one week, as compared with DEET's three days of effectiveness.
Lazy Officials?
Traffic Light on Pattaya Beach Road
This traffic light in front of the Hard Rock Hotel on Pattaya Beach Road has been out of service for about 2 months. Nobody is interested in it.....
Our Police pass the road a few times a day, but seem to be blind - or simply too lazy to inform the relevant people.
Pattaya City Hall: Polluter #1!
Pump Station in front of Pattaya Beer Garden
During heavy rains Pattaya City Hall washes up the untreated wastewater directly into the sea
So also on April 2nd, 2019, at Pattaya Beach Road at the entrance to Walking Street.
The guests of Pattaya Beer Garden were able to follow the events live.
Toxic Smog or Flooded Streets?
Toxic Smog over Chiang Mai
Toxic smog turns thousands of Tourists away from Northen Thailand, Khaosod English reports.
In Pattaya heavy rains flood streets since more than 30 years. Our Politicians speaks and promise since 30 years too, but in reality nothing ever changed.
In Chiang Mai, Thailand's Dictator General Prayuth Chan-ocha, used his power to order the officials to solve the problem within 7 days. Perhaps he can use the same power to replace Pattaya's officials by capable men - assuming, of course, he can find such people at all in this country...
Sukhumvit Road in Pattaya on April 2nd, 2019
On the beach, which has been renovated recently with about 500 million Baht, the water masses left behind the almost usual crater landscape.
Cleanest City in this World
Pattaya's strolling Police
Pattaya Police and their new Boss, Pol. Col. Prawit Chorsang, enjoy the strolling on Soi 6, Soi Buakhaow and Walking Street.
You can do it too!
Police report that during their tours in the resort’s red light districts no issues were discovered - no underage personnel, no drugs, no weapons and no prostitution.
In the eyes of our Police, Pattaya must be the cleanest city in the world.

In the small Soi conneting Soi 7 with Soi 8, the Sunbeam Bar Complex reopened after a complete makeover. A real improvement compared to the past.
In the corner of Pattaya Beach Road and Central Road, just in front of Basaya Hotel, J Boon opened a new Seafood Restaurant.
At CentralFestival, Sony's one and only shop in Pattaya closed down.
This is not the only vacant salesroom in this shopping mall.
On each floor there are several empty or temporarily used rooms and proof the optimistic economic predictions of Thailand's Military Junta wrong.
Empty or temporarily used salesroom can be found in almost all shopping centers in Pattaya, not only at CentralFestival Pattaya Beach

The restaurant, previously known as Soi Buakhaow Take Away, is now known as Sarasota Cafe.
This small eatery called Surprise is a real surprise. It just has 3 small tables but is serving tasty foods at very low prices. A complete meal starts at 79 Baht. Surprise is located in a small Soi off Soi Buakhaow, just opposite the newly opened Beer Hubb.
For early birds At All offers an inexpensive breakfast including an excellent Arabica Coffee from 06:00 until 11:00.
The Zip Hotel added the Pizzeria Zip and a Kebab outlet to its lobby..
The restaurant is also open to non-hotel guests.
The Pook Bar, a Ladyboy bar located between the Pook Swan House and the very successful Scooters Bar, closed down at the beginning of this month without giving reasons.
We will keep you up-to-date.
The Mini Cafe located at the entrance to LK's Metroploe Hotel on Soi Diana, off Soi Buakhaow, closed down.

The Office staged its last shows on April 9th. Since April 10th the venue is closed. At least there is hope for Office fans: Banners at the building promise a reopening on May 3rd under a new management.
The Office was opened on August 17th, 2010, and replaced the failed ICE Club.
If it really does happen, you'll read it here!

Both units of the former Kiss Kool Club are now open for thirsty revellers. During the end of March Avarice opened its door, at the beginning of this month its sister bar called Wrath opened too.

On April 10th, 2019, Rich A Go-Go opened in the rooms of the former Mandarin A Go-Go Bar. The venue has no connection to the well-known Rich Bar, Restaurant and Hotel on Soi Buakhaow.
The opening was very unspectacular: The management obviously decided not to hold the otherwise usual opening party. Probably as compensation for this, it let dance a bunch of sexy Ladies.
On March 30th, 2019, Scooters Bar opened a new Branch in Soi 14, off Walking Street, in the rooms of the defunct Secrets A Go-Go Club.
Scooters is one of the rare success stories in Pattaya. Obviously the management understands the business much better than most other people in this funny town.
Western Brews is obviously taking shape: The advertising is already mounted and illuminates the night over the entrance to the failed Topaz Night Club.
In addition to Beer, the management promises world class Continental Cuisines...
The management has not yet announced anything about the prices of drinks and foods.
We will keep you up-to-date.
In the rooms of the miserably failed White Bar a Chinese restaurant called Panda is announced to open soon.
According to our information, the Panda Restaurant has no connection to the very successful Panda A Go-Go Bar at the entrance to Walking Street.
Update: The Restaurant is now open!
In the rooms of the former Mandarin A Go-Go Bar Rich A Go-Go will open soon.
The new Rich A Go-Go has no connection to the well-known Rich Bar, Restaurant and Hotel on Soi Buakhaow.
We will keep you up-to-date.
Hidden A Go-Go closed down for good.
The venue opened on August 5th, 2018, and claimed to have 150 beautiful Girls on its payroll.
We will keep you up-to-date.
Bypass A Go-Go closed down for renovation.
According to a banner on its door, you can meet its staff at Lighthouse A Go-Go located near the entry to Walking Street.

No Alcohol Days
Thailand's National No Alcohol Days include Buddhist holidays and election days.
On all other days alcohol can only be sold between 11:00-14:00 and 17:00-24:00.
Vendors caught breaking the ban are liable to a prison sentence of up to six months, a 10'000 Baht fine or both - but local Police use their own discretion to decide which venues need to be visited and fined...
Don't start laughing:
Do not try to buy non alcoholic beers (available from Clausthaler and Oettinger in this country).
The shops won't sell them during dry days.
Some not even sell Soda Water, because Thais and their Police associate it with (Thai) Whisky...

Brainless Politicians
Even after decades of promoting and using Lithium-ion Batteries, there is still no successful recycling model for lithium-ion batteries.
Nevertheless, our stupid politicians are still promoting electric automobiles and electric motorcycles and the industries its 'Smartphones'.
Lithium cobalt (III) oxide, lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide, aluminium foil and polyvinylidene fluoride binder are still poisoning our environment.
In the end, battery-powered vehicles are the bigger polluters than fossil-fueled cars and motorcycles.
OLED Notebooks
Our source in China reports that Dell, HP and Lenovo are set to launch Notebook built around a new 15.6-inch 4K OLED display from Samsung.
Other makers will follow soon as China-based Everdisplay Technology has also announced to start production of 4K OLED notebook panels.

Milking Foreigners!
Thailand's National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department ordered that admission fees for foreigners at national parks throughout the country have to be 400 Baht.
Entry charge for Thai nationals remains 40 Baht for adults and 20 Baht for children.
To cover the inequity the local's prices are printed in Thai script only.
No progress on Jet Ski saga:
Pattaya City Hall still doesn't do anything to stop the scam!
All the announcements made during last year were City Hall Blah-Blah only...
As long as Jet Ski vendors - respectively their victims - fill up our officials' pockets nothing will happen!
Update (published by Pattaya Mail): Problems with Jet Ski operators unsolved. The boats are overloaded, don't provide lifevests for all passengers, are badly maintained and aren't covered by adequate insurance policies.
Pattaya's lazy and allegedly corrupt Officials promised to check owners, personnel and boats regularly, but they don't. According to Pattaya Police, it is common in this resort that foreign tourists get drugged and robbed in their hotel rooms, apartments or houses by prostitutes or ladyboys. Ladyboy Pick-Pocket Gangs are working almost daily on Pattaya's Beach Promenade! Never wear Gold in Pattaya! Between 30 to 50 snatching valuables cases are reported to Pattaya's Police every single month. Those in power become addicted to power
