Pattaya International Music Festival 2010
Since a few years the Pattaya Music Festival happens near the end of March. In 2010 the International Music Festival attracted about 500'000 people from March 19th to March 21st. The term International is mostly restricted to guests from other Asian countries. Most participating artists are associated with Grammy (also known as G-MM or G-MM-Grammy), Thailand's largest music producer.

Pattaya International Music Festival is an open event. You don't have to buy any ticket(s). All concerts are free. The event is supported by sponsors. Therefore visitors (and dealers) are arriving from all over Thailand. Almost all cheaper rooms, guesthouses and hotels in the city are fully booked during the festival. Many visitors are sleeping at their friends' rooms, in their cars or even on the beach. The event is a public festival, but not (yet) a public holiday.

Walking Street and Bali Hai were always crowded with people and as a surprise for many onlookers: Thailand's beautiful ladies prefered to walk with Thai men and not with Farangs. Therefore many Farangs decided to visit Pattaya as well as the festival with their wives from Russia and ignoring native woman completely.
But I was a happy man: Because of my age, and not despite of it, I got a lot of nice smiles from Thailand's most beautiful ladies. Thank you for the nights!

Thank you People
During a festival like this, or any other occasion, it is an old Thai tradition to say thank you to all sponsors, supporters, assistants, contributors, employees, contractor, workers, longtime friends and colleagues. Mostly an never ending procedure. This festival wasn't an exception.
For next year we recommend to install a separate stage for all this thank-you-people where they can do their never ending speeches during all three festival days and check themself if Thai people really want to hear and/or attend that endless thank-you-gobbledygook.
