Prayut's forces against Future Forward Party
Thailand is moving away from democracy after the election as the military and conservative elite twist laws, regulations, norms and traditions in a bid to eradicate opposition and extend their grip on power.
The Election Commission has accepted a petition against the Future Forward Party (FFP) over claims by some of its MPs that they were offered money to vote for Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha as prime minister.

Senator selection questioned
The Pheu Thai Party has questioned the status of 250 senators.
Obviously an order naming the panel appointing them was not published in the Royal Gazette.

Untrustworthy?
Phalang Pracharath, the party that pushed Thailand's Dictator and Military Junta chairman General Prayuth Chan-ocha into a second term, has already reversed earlier talks about distributing important ministerial posts to its allies.
It shows Thai citizens and the whole world that one should never trust a military junta and its members.

As Expected after all that Manipulations:
Thailand's Dictator is the Country's new Prime Minister
With the help of pro-junta lawmakers and his own handpicked Senators, Military Junta chairman and Thailand's Dictator General Prayuth Chan-ocha secured another term in office Wednesday night.
He passed the majority of 374 votes in a parliamentary session held in northern Bangkok at about 23:00.
His contender, Future Forward Party leader Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, won 197 votes at the time of Prayuth's victory.

Thais don't pay traffic fines!
According to Thailand's Traffice Police more than 85% of motorists committing traffic offences have ignored ticket fine payments.
Police claims that they issued 11 million tickets last year, but drivers paid for only 1.3 million tickets.
In just one year, the number of overdue ticket fines rose to 9.7 million, assistant National Police Chief Damrongsak Kittipraphat said.
But a new rule will drastically change the behaviour of Thai drivers: Owners will no longer be able to renew their car registrations from July 1st,2019, if they have unpaid traffic tickets...
To date, 45% of the ticket fines have been distributed among civil servants, but this is to be abolished in the near future, rumours tell.
Without this additional income, several civil servants will probably have to file for bankruptcy.

Friday June 14th & Saturday June 15th
This year Pattaya's iconic Music Festival takes place on June 14th and 15th.
Depending on the music style, the concerts will take place on stages on the beaches of North Pattaya, South Pattaya or Jomtien.
Please note: Due to the well-known and mostly unusable - or even wrong - information policy of Pattaya City Hall, many international websites have published wrong event dates.
Correct is that the event will take place on Friday, June 14th and Saturday, June 15th, 2019.
Concerts are scheduled to start at about 17:00. They have to end at about 22:30.
Pattaya City Hall 'postponed' the event because its first release was completely wrong!

Main Stage (the green one) is at Paloma (Pattaya Central Road).
Stage #2 (the blue one) is in North Pattaya. Opposite the new Amari Hotels.
Stage #3 (the yellow one) is on Jomtien Beach, probably in the corner of Thappraya Road/Jomtien Beach Road. According to Pattaya Mail the venue happens at Jomtien’s multi-purpose sports zone (unknown by Google and by people living or working in Jomtien...).
The drawing says South Road, but there is no South Road in Jomtien!
As we told you before, Information from Pattaya City Hall are mostly useless, incomplete or incorrect.

Pattaya Beach Road is closed to all types of traffic.

In front of Royal Garden Plaza, just at the Beach Road, a Bosporous Doner Outlet opened.
Usagi Izakaya, a beautiful Japanese Restaurant on Pattaya South Road, a few meters only from the entrance to Walking Street, closed down.
It seems as if authentic Japanese restaurants have a hard time in Pattaya.

Usagi Izakaya opened on April 25th, 2018. The venue had a short life.

Slowly but surely Soi Pattaland 1 and 2 change their face. Businesses led by Indian expats are responsible for turning away from the gay image of the two streets.

Opposite Istanbul Kebab Booth a small Thai restaurant has been opened at the ailing Pattaya NMidnight Complex offering traditional Thai cuisine to the many Thai people working in the neighborhood.
Uzbekistan is not only a very interesting country with a largely unknown culture, but also a very nice restaurant with dishes that you should discover at all costs.

No Alcohol Days
Thailand's National No Alcohol Days include Buddhist holidays and election days.
On all other days alcohol can only be sold between 11:00-14:00 and 17:00-24:00.
Vendors caught breaking the ban are liable to a prison sentence of up to six months, a 10'000 Baht fine or both - but local Police use their own discretion to decide which venues need to be visited and fined...

Thailand's National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department ordered that admission fees for foreigners at national parks throughout the country have to be 400 Baht.

No progress on Jet Ski saga:
Pattaya City Hall still doesn't do anything to stop the scam!
All the announcements made during last year were City Hall Blah-Blah only...
As long as Jet Ski vendors - respectively their victims - fill up our officials' pockets nothing will happen!
Update (published by Pattaya Mail): Problems with Jet Ski operators unsolved. The boats are overloaded, don't provide lifevests for all passengers, are badly maintained and aren't covered by adequate insurance policies.
Pattaya's lazy and allegedly corrupt Officials promised to check owners, personnel and boats regularly, but they don't. According to Pattaya Police, it is common in this resort that foreign tourists get drugged and robbed in their hotel rooms, apartments or houses by prostitutes or ladyboys.
